treatment for hyper tension ## This is a betablocker used to help lower blood pressure. ## My blood pressure soared and my heart was wooshing with a very rapid beat and my head felt like it was going to blow off - I also felt pressure in my neck ... it was alarming. I went to the doctor and had a BP of 170/110 (yikes) ... he put me on BIstolic and 36 hours later my heart rate was down to normal and my BP was 108/70, What a relief. I've had a very mild headache but no other side effects at all.

Been taking Bystolic for three weeks, very good BP results; however diarrhea has been a problem. Has anyone else had this issue and will it go away when my body adjusts to the new med. Has it improved, any? ## Yes, much better. ## Hey Jackie, How long did it take for your system to adjust and the diarrhea to stop?

He also takes Vivactil and Ritalin. He feels jittery, tired and nausated. Please help. ## Speaking from personal experience... Ritalin and Provigil didn't mix for me. Granted that was Provigil. I've recently started Nuvigil, and can not tell if I am having holiday anxiety or a reaction to my Nuvigil. My feeling is slight pressurized headache, tightness in chest, mild vision blur, very pressurized feeling in chest and sides of throat and anxiety. Checked my BP and is 180/80. Norm for me is around 130/85 w/bistolic. He may want to monitor his BP if he's feeling tired and nauseous ## ...
