Could someone please tell me if Ativan can cause glazing look in the eyes? ## Absolutely, it is a Benzodiapine, the same drug class as Xanax or Valium. It tends to cause an initial spaciness in people who have not adjusted to taking the med, or have recently experienced a dosage change. These type of side effects usually wear off in about 2 weeks, give or take a few days to account for a person's individual body chemistry and the way it may process a medication. I have taken Pur-Bloka previously, with not much luck. Being a bridesmaid at my sister's wedding, having bipolar2 stabelised, I experience my emotions grabbing hold. (I did not want to be so anxious that I faint, or have an attack! in the aistle ) My Pshyciatrist was unavailable to provide me with a calming aid, so i saw one of her collegues. My doctor prescribed tramadol hcl 50 mg for pain in my joints, muscle and back. I also take 1mg Ativan twice a day. Should I have any concerns? I am now age 71 with a 6-year-old heart transplant. Hi my son (28) has been prescribed the following: Adco-Alzam 0.5, half a tabled morning and afternoon and a whole one in the evening PLUS Cilift 20mg 1 tablet per day PLUS Ativan 1mg under the tonque when necessary PLUS Dormicum 15mg 1 at night (only for one night) are all these tablets ok to use at the same time?? ## There can be some risks associated with any medications that you take, especially if you take them all at the same time, or close together. I started Metoprolol Tartrate 25mg being one tab every 12 hours. I was in the hospital with a blood pressure of 200/130, sometimes higher with a high pulse and irregular heartbeat. I experienced tightening in chest, slight difficulity in breathing, and extreme variables in my pressures. Most of the time they are in the normal range, but occasionally my systolic has dropped under 100 and my diastolic was 58. I am monitoring my foods and am also taking Ativan twice daily. I have been taking Alprax0.50mg for the past ten years OD. But now i am not having deep sleep as i am a spondyloarthropathy patient. As per our Doctor advice i am taking Zolpeace 5mg OD along with Alprax0.50mg. But there is no effect. Along with these two tablets i am also taking Ativan 1mg OD. In later stages as the time progresses you need to increase the dosage of these drugs to get the same effects. Hi all, my 61 year old mother is on nexito 20mg + mirtaz 30mg for the last 12 days... Her mornings are horrible. She wakes up and has severe headaches + dizziness in the morning. She says it feels like she does not have a head and the whole body is not working. She takes ativan in the morning and evening to call her anxiety ... Wanted to ask if r morning side effects are common and is there any cure for the light headedness.. By 6 pm in the evening she is perfectly OK and comes out of the bedroom and talks and watched TV. Family member was in ER for alcohol detox and was peaceful and easy going. Member began to have shakes and was given Ativan in an IV. Member became very irritated and aggressive. Member had to be restrained and Ativan was increased. Upon increase, member became violent and had to be restrained by 4 young security guards. Can you take tramadol along with ativan? ## They shouldn't be used together, unless your doctor has specifically instructed you to do so and is monitoring your condition. They both cause CNS depression and combining them can have a synergistic effect, making it even worse. Are there ay questions or comments?
