Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. If the Nitro sun is a controlled release tablet or capsule, then you wouldn't be able to cut the pill into fractionated doses and would likely have to have other means of intervention. Have you confronted this person about helping them, and are they open to the idea of it?
