What's an effective combination as SSRIs are contra-indicated? Bupropion just isn't efficacious. Anyone have any experience with other drugs and what are they? ## Hello, Sdarcy! How are you? I've been searching, but so far, everything I've found and checked is contraindicated with the Tikosyn. Did your doctor suggest anything else you can try? I even researched some of the antipsychotics. Tikosyn is listed by the FDA as being used to treat irregular heartbeat and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and cough. Does anyone else know of anything? ## Paxil is safe to use with Tikosyn. I am on low does for anxiety that caused PACs. On longer have premature beats.

I've been on Zoloft now for over a year for depression, decided to quit smoking 11/2010, started on Chantix, right after thanksgiving went to the ER with SEVERE, and i mean Severe Head pain that required cat scans, docs dismissed it as a side effect of chantix, gave me pain meds, sent me on my way, by this time i decided 1 chantix a day was sufficient, my general practioner agreed, the next month, i becam irritable, angry, moody, my family didn't know what was happening.... xmas eve day, i slashed my arm, for no reason...., i was supposedly in control of my depression...., had a nice few days in the hospital which refused my requests for my Chantix, i came home, content, happy, realizing the doc's had weaned me off Chantix, So this is a very SERIOUS WARNING, IF YOU are Takin...

Just found out the antidepressant Pristiq has Gluten in it. Can you tell me if there is one that has not ## I'm sorry, but the relevant ingredient information we have is only accurate for medications that are available in the U.S. Have you tried talking to your doctor about it? If you have a gluten allergy, you can also try making your pharmacy/chemist aware of that, so they can check medication ingredients for you. ## My wife has celiac disease (intolerance of gluten products). She may be suffering from depression, too. I'd like to know if there are any anti-depressants that are gluten-free, that is, safe for celiac patients to use.

The fact that you guys are even thinking about mixing alcohol with antidepressants tells me you are not serious about controlling your depression. Alcohol is a depressant! Taking anti depressants and drinking is like giving a hemophiliac an aspirin to thin their blood. Makes no sense at all. Is there any anti-depressants available that actually can make you loose weight and not gain? ## There's no pill that can make you lose weight. Weight loss comes from calories in and calories out. If you are not eating properly and exercising on a regular basis then it is not the pills fault for having a negative effect on your weight. I was just prescribed Rameron 30mg to take at bedtime to help with me sleep. I am also taking Adderall 30mg, Ativan 0.5mg and Celexa 20mg on a daily basis. I had depression n anxiety 10yrs ago. Was given Seroxat n had very good results. Been off meds since then. Now depression n anxiety has returned (relapse). Been given Lexapro, Luvox, Prozac. I'm getting terrified after reading some Chantix horror stories and people who report never being the same after taking it. I just took my first dose of Chantix. Leading up to the decision to try it, I've been severely depressed for the past 3-4 months and recently began thinking that if I can just quit smoking I'll be healthier, able to exercise, date (not too many smoker lovers out there) and generally feel better. Would withdrawal symptoms affect me after forgetting to take the medication for 4 days? OR Would I be getting withdrawal symptoms from dropping dosages in my lexapro? Hi I was on Cymgen 60mg for one month only. Lost 7 kg's. I am skinny so my body does not have that additional fat to loose. I am falling around like a drunk and are so dizzy. I take Cymbalta 60 mg daily. I take it in the am to avoind sleepless nights, but that has not stopped. I may sleep an hour or two at the most every night. The depression is better but I am having second thoughts about continuing this medication. Like i said, I do not sleep at all. I have major night sweats and have terrible headaches. Ihave been on cymbalta for 10 years. I tried to taper off but the side effects were like the worse flu I have ever had. I'm am depressed again and feel that it's time for a change. I'm prescribed 25mg xR Adderall, and have been for about a year, year and a half. I absolutely love the stuff, nothing has ever worked for me the way this med does! I've been on anti-anxiety and anti-depressants, I've tried Wellbutrin and Ritalin. Nothing ever worked. But I feel like Adderall kick starts me, and puts me in some kind of "bubble" where I can be productive, stay motivated and focused and the energy! The energy is my favorite part. I am 46 and hv been diagnosed with severe lumbar spinal stenosis, protruding disc, etc. I have taken aspirin, tylenol, t3, ibuprophen, tramodol, anti - depressants, muscle relaxers, and vicodin most recent along with the Fentanyl patch 25mg. This is the first time in my life I've had a significant relief of pain. The problem is that the pain is coming back after being on these 2 meds for about 3months.
