I want to break in half to start weaning off so the anxiety won't be so bad maybe? Been taking for 4 days. Please help. ## Hello, Colleen! How are you? How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having, I understand why that would be annoying. This medication is classified by the FDA as an antibiotic and the side effects will usually linger for about a week, after you finish your course of treatment with it. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash, headache and diarrhea. How long will you be taking it? I have a bad stye on my lower eyelid and it is causing my eye to become red. Can I use Amoxicillin-Clavulanic acid 875mg for my eye? Last time I had this I had periocular cellulitis and I have the same symptoms. I was given Keflex, but I have a prescription for this medication. ## It may help, but you should not take it, unless your medical provider approves, because antibiotics should not be overused. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and diarrhea. Has any testing been done to see what's causing them? I used to get them, while married to my ex-husband, but I haven't gotten one in years. (I said this, so I will likely develop one soon. LOL) Anyway, I never thought to speak to my doctor and have them checked out.

I've been taking 875mg Amoxicillin/125mg Clav for a tooth abscess. My doctor gave me 10 days worth of meds to take twice a day. I've been taking it now for 4days but breaks it down into 3 times a day by splitting the pill in 1/2 which means I'm actually taking a pill and a 1/2. I tried the 1st day and it made me sick so I decided to try it this way but I'm noticing my abscess is not going down it actually got a little bigger. I was told that regardless the infection should've went down at least a little by now but it hasn't.. ## If you aren't taking the amount prescribed, then you may not be getting enough to eradicate the infection that has caused the abscess. I had a sinus infection a few months ago and my doctor prescribed amoxicillin. Today I noticed the signs of a cold sore coming. Could I take the rest of my amoxicillin to get rid of it? ## Unfortunately, cold sores are caused by a virus, so an antibiotic will not help treat or prevent them. is this good for a common head cold and or sinus infection? ## Gimiclav contains the active ingredients Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid, it is an antibiotic and, as such, is only helpful at treating infections. If you use it improperly, you also run the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. Do you have any other questions? ## Can you please tell me if this gimaclav is drug free? I have a tooth infection and was given Augmentin and the doctor knows I'm allergic to penicillin. Now, that isn't to say that you may not find other medications that you are also allergic to, but the only way to find out is by trying them. Is there anything else I can help with?

There are no interactions or problems listed, it's usually with the calcium containing antacids, since they can coat your stomach and prevent absorption of the antibiotics.
