What is this pill for and what is the adult prescription? ## I'm guessing that the "Amox" is for Amoxicillin - with that in mind, the other parts of your description could indicate the compound Clavulanic Acid. A brand name of this combination is Augmentin. Can you provide any specific markings, color, and shape of the pills? This would allow me to give you the exact drug name. As for what I guessed above, you can read more about that medicine, and you will see that it is an antibiotic (for killing infection)... Hope this helps!

( the blood litererly makes me look so discusting, i just want it gone asap.... any advice if this med. isn't for it?) ## This medication really won't help with that. Amoxicillin is an antibiotic that is used to treat various types of infections and it will not help something that has not been cause by an infection. In addition, improper use could result in your developing antibiotic resistance. You most likely have broken some blood vessels and it will just take some time for everything to heal and for the blood to be reabsorbed into your body and disappear from your eye. However, y...

I took one dose, 1 1/2 hrs later, vomiting, diaherra, sweating alot. Ended up in ER with dehydration, and hypothermia, temp @ 93 degrees. I'm guessing the sweating gave my hypothermia, since it's mid summer. Doc tried saying it was probably stomach flu. I got sick taking this med before, just not to this extreme. Apparently if my temp dropped more, I could of been in real trouble. ## Sorry about what you've been through, that's very rough. And I have to say that I am really not surprised. Though it isn't common, some people do react this way to some antibiotics. I had it happen from one that I took last year, though the worst occurred after 9 and half days of dosing, so it took several weeks for everything to clear up…..and yes, I had gone to the ER and the doc...

I recently had a beignet cyst removed from my right breast. After the minor surgery I found a small lump and there was some soreness. I visited my doctor and he prescribed me amox tr k clv he explained that I may have contracted a n infection due to me wearing my bras earlier than I should have. I'm on the third day of using this antibiotic and the lump has grown noticeably larger and it looks as though it's almost coming to a head ( kind of like a pimple) I wanted to know if this was a cause of concern or if this may be normal in the healing process. ## Hello, Niquette! How are you? Did you mean a benign cyst? Why was it necessary to have it removed? That's usually not done unless they are large enough to be disfiguring or are causing severe pain. Does amox tr-k have any potency left after 6 years? ## Hello, Barc! How are you? It's very doubtful, especially if it is in one of the bottles that pharmacies use, because even in the original factory sealed bottle, the maximum shelf-life of most pills is only 4 or 5 years. Taking an expired antibiotic is also not a good idea, since it creates the risk of your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. The FDA lists the typical antibiotic side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?
