This is in reference to Amneal Pharmaceutical's "7.5/325" Oxycodone, the label which also reads in part: "*7.5 mg oxycodone HCI, USP is equivalent to 6.7228 mg of oxycodone" without explaining what that means. CVS switched my brand last month and claim that all brands are the same strength. NOT SO, according to the level of pain and everyone who is in pain knows that pain does no lie. Having a website where people can rant about their product to one another is an old trick perfected by Apple, Google, and Microsoft to make us think that somehow they're part of the conversation. Do not take no for an answer in telling your doctor, pharmacist, and insurance that you insist on something that works and is in fact the strength that your doctor prescribed! ## Generics c...

I've been in structured pain Mgmt for 18+ yrs; after 6 failed back surgeries & trials of treatments it was only percocet that would allow me to tolerate walking again & functioning in at least a tolerable life without nausea, dizziness, fatigue & it TAKES THE PAIN AWAY TO A MANAGEABLE LEVEL! I've been suffering for the last 2 months on a different generic brand by Amneal Pharmaceuticals; it's horrible! It's as if I'm taking a completely different drug & producing diarrhea, nausea, headache, no pain relief, etc; I know my symptoms are a result of this GENERICALLY FORCED UPON ME pill. As laws are so strict now due to drug addicts abusing it WE THE PEOPLE PERCOCET WAS MADE FOR ARE SUFFERING with the stigma & restrictions won't let me turn in the ...

Hi everybody! I've been on "Amneal" oxycodone HCL 20mg tabs (1 three times daily) for about three years, I just pick my prescription up today and it was "Rhodes" brand oxy's! Is one better than the other? I never felt that "Amneal" ever works that grant in the first place, so I really can't afford to get something that is even LESS affective! Does anyone have any suggestions? ## It can vary from person to person. Have you tried it, yet? If so, how is it working for you? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. ## Rhodes is the best brand of percs there are I think. Amneal is horrid! I had to make a complaint against the compa...

Amneal's oxycodone, generic for percocet 10/325 is white, oblong, blank on one side, and imprinted with IP 204 (not IP 203)! I usually take Watson or Mallinckrodt, 10/325, (2) tablets every 4-6 hours (240 monthly), but I was given Amneal today when filling my script, and I am not happy! I have cancer, and I also take morphine sulphate 30 mgs as well (1 every 12 hours), and Fioricet with Codeine for severe migraines (as needed)! I do not feel Amneal is sufficient or even close to the chemical makeup as Watson or Mallinckrodt for controlling pain/chronic pain! Amneal does not act the same way on my body, and I should not have to take more for same result! I think when you pay cash for your medications, and have been on the medication for 8 years, using the same pharmacy, they should o...

Can anyone tell me how well Purdue 10 mg percocet works? I currently take Mallinkrodt in the 525s because my pharmacy can’t get any other brand in a higher dose. Was prescribed 725’s and my pharmacy stsrted giving me Amneal. I knew that something was not right because they not only made me sick (nauseous and headache), they were not effective. Mallinkrodt work good for me, but would like to take less pills as I have to get the 525’s and cut them in half. I may need to jump to the 10 mg, but my pharmacy can only get Purdue. I can’t find any info on how well they work. What is the most effective 725s and 10s??

I have a torn disc, herniated disc, buldging disc, dislocated collarbone, sciatica and carpal tunnel. I had the carpal tunnel surgery and sounal fusion to remove torn disc and replace with titanium rods and screws. The only meds that work is the ENDOCET 10/325 an Valium 2.5. Trying ALVOGEN today for the first time, literally 2 hrs ago. So far ok. HOWEVER, you all are correct. If the manufacturer is not good forget about it. I took qualitest and had sweats worse than a basketball player and AMNEAL was like eating tic-tacs. The ENDOCET not only did the job but I too was left with a few extras for my next dr visit. These manufacturers care about 1 thing $$$. After the AMNEAL and QUALITEST nightmare, I wrote the FDA and the manufacturer and let my pharmacist know if thats what you have I...

I take the Rhodes 10/325 percocet and they are better than actavis oh that don't help at all. Rhodes and Amneal I agree are weak compared to the old Watson's and Mallinckrodt, and Endocet, even Roxicet. What happened to those that did wonders I don't know. ## Hi Stevo, I think when it comes down to drug efficacy, we not only have to look at the active ingredients/dosages, but just as importantly, the binders and fillers which often change from manufacturer to manufacturer. So what happened to those drugs that did wonders? - Well, from my perspective drug companies probably did add various inert ingredients that somehow affect bioavailability or how well our body absorbs the "active" ingredients that are composed within all the fillers. It's hard to say if there i...

I am looking for Watson 10/325 Percocet and they no longer make them. What about Mylan brand? Has anyone had those- also Amneal is another generic. Help!!! ## My wife takes the 10/325 and has preferred the Watson also. Mylan worked well for her but we can't find anyone near us that carries Mylan. Who are you getting them from? ## I haven't had any personal experience with this med, but after seeing all the complaints against Actavis I think any other brand would be worth looking into. Endo Pharmaceuticals also makes Percocet. I'd just be mindful of the inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) that they put into those tablets, because you never know if something in there could be effecting its potency/bioavailability from the point of absorption. From what I've read, Endo u...

I was told that the pill 1p 109 was a generic percocet ## Hello, Velma! How are you? This tablet is actually a generic for Lortab or Norco. It is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is the ip 304 pill generic of percocet, or can it be used for opiate withdrawal? ## Hello, William! How are you? An oval, orange tablet with the marking IP 304 is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 75mgs of Velafaxine. The FDA classifies this medication as being an SNRI antidepressant. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. However, if you mean the oblong, white tablet with the marking IP 204, that is listed by them as being a generic for Percocet, which contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation...

What is the difference? My script reads "Percocet oral tablet 10-325 mg" and the pharmacy gives me IP 204 10-325 mg. ## Hello, Dona! How are you? There is no difference. Percocet is the trade name for a medication that contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, so your pharmacy has provided you with a generic manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Been on 10/325 yellow percocet. I refill at Safeway. They gave me ip 204. What is the difference? I don't get the same relief from the IP 204. They said that is what Safeway is going with. I am stuck with these pills. What can I do? ## Hi doris, IP 204 is a generic form of percocet, made by Amneal Pharma. It also contains a dosage of 10/325 mg. If there are any notable differences between this and the yellow version you're used to taking, I'd say it would probably be found in the list of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers)... No yellow dye for example. Just for the record here is a list of inactive ingredients found in the IP 204 pill: silicon dioxide + crospovidone + magnesium stearate + microcrystalline cellulose + povidone + corn starch + stearic acid There's also ...

The pill itself says IP 204. It seems to be percocet 7.5 when I try to find it. The issue is I had a tonsillectomy yesterday and the pain meds do not seem to be helping. I got to thinking what did the pharmacy give me? It was supposed to be percocet 10 and Tylenol 325. It is white and long, oval like. I am thinking about calling the pharmacy, but wanted to know if this was the right medication. Because with a 10 mg...It should be decreasing in my pain and it is not. What should I do? ## IP 204 is a generic Percocet 10, manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals. Having your tonsils removed, especially if you are older, can be quite painful. Hope you feel better soon. ## As an additional note, not every medication works for everyone that tries it, either. Even if you've taken it before, ...

I got a script for percocet IP 204s but they don't look like the ones I've taken before. They say IP 204 on them and they look like they're thicker / fatter. Are these just as effective as the other ones? Do they have different molds for them? ## Are there different sizes of percocet IP 204s? Are some thicker and then some skinnier? ## If you got your prescription filled at a licensed pharmacy then I can't help but think that it's a legitimate discrepancy among different batches. However, it probably doesn't hurt to contact the manufacturer (Amneal Pharma) just to be certain... Amneal's customer service department for reporting product quality complaints can be reached at 1-877-835-5472 or via email at [email protected]. For verification, the IP 204 pill ...

Hello, First, let me start by saying that I am somewhat opiate naive. I am not in pain management and hopefully won't need to be. I've had scripts here and there for norco and percocet. It is the generic percocet, or more specifically the oxycodone, i'd like to discuss here. Over the past year i've had issues (such as a broken elbow, recurring kidney stones, and a staghorn lodged in my renal pelvis [kidney]), that have lead to several prescriptions for percocet from a total of 4 different manufacturers. Mallinckrodt 10/325, Amneal 7/325, Rhodes Pharmacy 10/325, and AuroBindo 10/325. I've read a lot of reviews about the aforementioned generic manufacturers. The majority of them have been negative especially for Rhodes. Mallinckrodt and AuroBindo are the only two that ...

I be huntting really brand Percocet next month ## Hi James, Because they are different manufacturers, Amneal more than likely contains a different set of "inactive" ingredients than Actavis (formally known as Watson). From my own research, I'm led to believe that these binders/fillers are the root cause behind some pills not working as effectively as their "identical" counterp...

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## I'm having the same issue now.
