Have you tried Subutex, since it doesn't contain the Naloxone that Suboxone does? The FDA classifies this as being an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## When I firsf started suboxone I broke out in rashes/hives for the first couple weeks which subsided I fhought I was going to have to see if the dr could swap me to something else but it did eventually subside for me... Hi, I am trying to understand the differences between Naloxone and Naltrexone because I was prescribed Naltrexone tablets over the summer and had a severe allergic reaction and had to be hospitalized. I do not know if the Naloxone in Suboxone would give the same reaction, but I do not want to find out. If anyone can explain this to me, I would greatly appreciate it. =) ## Hello, Kkbc! How are you? While they both do the same thing, they are two different substances. So, while you may have had a reaction to the Naltrexone, you might be okay with the Naloxone, but there is also a slight chance that you could have a reaction to it, too. Typical side effects to Naloxone may include nausea, change in mood, increased sweating and nervousness. If you do have a problem with it, Subutex is alway...

What the difference between Buprenorphine with Naloxone and Buprenorphine without Naloxone ## Hello, Cynthia! How are you? That is the difference. once contains the Naloxone to help prevent the abuse of other medications, while someone is being treated with it and the other doesn't. Naloxone isn't safe for everyone, particularly pregnant women, or someone who is allergic to it, so a different option has to be available for them. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Can skmeone please help me bow do i take the subutex am i supposed to diss...

I love subutex but can't get is this a popular drug like suboxton ## Hello, Kat! How are you? While both are commonly used to treat drug addiction, Subutex only contains the opiate Buprenorphine. However, Suboxone couples Buprenorphine with Naloxone, to neutralize other narcotics and help prevent their abuse, while someone is being treated with it. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Suboxone is the preferred drug for treatment, unless someone is pregnant, or allergic to the Naloxone. Is there anything else I can help with?

There is a search engine on the website that you can use to look for doctors in you area that treat with it. Suboxone.com click here, you can search by zip code and their contact information will be included to see if they are accepting new patients. Dear VerWon, I now know the difference between suboxone and subtext. But, why would one Dr. Choose one over the other? Is the suboxone used for addiction and subtext used for just pain? ## Hello, Cats68! How are you? As I said in my prior post, Suboxone includes Naloxone to prevent the abuse of other narcotics, while someone is being treated with it for addiction and that is exactly why it is usually preferred over Subutex. Subutex is usually the choice when someone has a bad reaction to the Naloxone or is pregnant. However, both can treat pain. Does this clear it up for you? :-) ## Dear Dr. Thank u for the information. All cleared up. ## As for mself....I had major allergic reactions to generic suboxone pills as well as name brand and subutex. The only form of combination of meds was S...

I am trying to find out if someone allergic to opiates (yet is seeking assistance for opiate addiction) would have a good chance of being allergic to Suboxone/buprenorphine? Technically, suboxone and subutex are classified as narcotics, but being partial does anyone think the same allergy would be triggered? ## If they have a genuine allergy to all opiates, then they will most likely also react to this one, there is no way to know for sure, unless they try it, though. However, one important question to ask is what symptoms did they experience, when they took opiates, that they consider to due to an allergic reaction? Quite often, the symptoms that many people think mean they are allergic to something, are actually just normal side effects. The FDA lists them as possibly including nausea...

I am allergic to sulfur and subutex in small doses is causing me to have reactions like I do when I have come in contact with sulfur. ## Does subutex have small parts of sulfa qualities in it like the steroid methylprednisolone has in it? ## Are you allergic to sulfa, or sulfur? They are not actually the same. What types of symptoms are you experiencing? The FDA warns that an allergic reaction to a medication usually includes symptoms like swelling, breathing issues, itching, and hives. However, the typical side effects of Subutex may include nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Can you please post back with more details?

I am currently in treatment and have been for 3 months. I am allergic to Suboxone but was put on it anyway even though another doctor in the facility personally witnessed my allergy to Suboxone. I also had the same exact reaction to Bunavail. I was taken off my Subutex which I had no problem with and put on something I am allergic to. I do NOT wish to continue seeing a doctor willing to risk my life because they are that afraid of the DEA. I am seeking a doctor or treatment facility within an hour drive of Kingwood WV in Preston County that WILL prescribe something that is Naloxone FREE. I prefer Subutex but I read somewhere that Bunavail comes in a form that is free of Naloxone, which I am willing to try. No Methadone PLEASE. ## Hi, I hope you have found a doctor by now. I have been on regular suboxone for almost two years now and this month I had to pay nfor my medicine so I got the Generic subutex 8mg and holy cow it stings my tounge and mouth so bad, suboxone never did that. What the heck? Why does it do that and could it be an allergic reaction? ## Subutex doesn't list any side effects pertaining to such symptoms, however I do get the sense that it may be some type of allergic reaction to one or more of the binders/fillers in the medication. This type of response may also indicate a hypersensitivity to the medication. I wouldn't recommend taking any more if you keep responding to it in this way. Because if it really is an allergic reaction or hypersensitivity, the warnings for this drug state that you should contact your doctor immediately (...
