Whether or not they want to pursue treatment is up to them and if so they might go for another medication rather than Adderall. Chances are if you walk in and say you have ADHD, then ask for an Adderall script you won't get it because it is seen as what they call "drug seeking behavior". Also, you can't expect them to not ask any questions, because that is essentially part of their job in making sure they give you the right medication and aren't just handing it over to someone who only wants to abuse it. I have been taking adderall ir 10mg twice daily and recently was prescribed 75mg Venlafaxine (effexor) one daily. And ive been noticing that my adderall has not been working and have been very out of focused and tired even when taking my medications. I may be building a tolerance to adderall, but that still doesnt explain why it would stop working as well very sudden. Perhaps the Adderall is to help you with ADHD? That is typically the only reason one takes Adderall...if they have a focusing deficit and need the mediciine to concentrate. Some people who have ADD are very wired and excitable so doctors put them on things like Clonodine, (but usually not Xanax), to help calm them down. I am a male 45 years old and psychiatrist diagnosed me with ADD. It took me years and years to finally admit I had an issue so I looked for a psychiatrist. She started me on Vynase and worked my way up to 50mg, I did last long for me so the other day she switched me to Adderall 30mg. I picked it up this morning and was a generic brand and on the orange capsule says R3061. I took one at 730 this morning and did not feel anything except a couple hours later very lethargic. I know I was not suppose to take another one but I did and did not feel anything. I called the cvs phamasist to ask if there is a difference between the brand name and the generic I am on based on what I have read here and other places and his response was I would have the same reaction if I was on the brand or generic....

How does everyone find the Extended Release (XR, ER) version of Adderall to work when compared to the Immediate Release (IR)? ## Adderall XR, maybe I got a bad generic but it's crap, it does not reveal in your system. I hate all XR meds they are awful. My doctor put me on reg Adderall and the quality is night and day, reg last 4 hours that's okay. I take another one, and get the same quality. The xr is weak and seems to last a shorter time than the IR. Everybody is different I know, and I'm no doctor, so take what your prescribed, and please do not abuse drugs, take it like its prescribed. It works trust me. My daughter has had very treatment with the prescription of dexedrine 15 mg extended release spansules for many years. Recently, a different pharmacy filled it for what turned out to be labeled as "dexedrine sulfate(salts)" and my daughter's behavior was worse. She has never tolerated adderall. That particular pharmacist said it is all the same. The other pharmacies say it isnt. How much adderall can be taken while wearing a 25 mcg transdermal fentanyl patch? ## Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between Adderall and Fentanyl. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. Having said that - in my opinion, it would be ok to take these two medications together. However, as far as proper dosing goes, I would simply suggest following the dosage guidelines on the Adderall packaging. If in fact you do end up experiencing undesirable side effects, it would probably be in your best interest to stop taking it and try another medication or holistic approach to your condition. I got my prescription filled today for Adderall 15 mg and Aurolife was the generic they used because they were out of their normal one. I have taken Adderall for years & even gone down in dosage with no problems but today after of 2 hours of waiting for the pill to work I took another. I can't tell I've taken anything. I've called the pharmacy twice about this plus a separate matter(a mistake they made in submitting to insurance) and questioned the pharmacist about this drug. He gave me the excuse that if I was used to a different brand this may not work as well at first. I don't buy it. This is an amphetamine and it should work if it's a quality medication. I've been diagnosed Bipolar II. Am currently on, and have been for a few years, Paxil, Lamictal, risperdal and klonopin.
