just asking if histal expectorant can be used to treat sinus condition such as nasal congestion, (stuffiness) ## Histal contains the active ingredient Cetirizine, from what I can find listed, so it is not an expectorant, but an antihistamine, used to treat allergies. That said, if something else is causing the congestion, such as a cold, then it will probably not help. Have you consulted a doctor? ## Histal Expectorant contains Chlopheniramine not ceterizine...you may be better off trying Histal DC if your only issue is congestion.

Can this drug be taken with an expectorant such as diphen expectorant for a child about twelve years old? ## My answer to your question would be no, due to an interaction found between the active ingredient triprolidine, in Decondine, which doesn't appear to go well with drugs like Diphenhydramine. This interaction states the following: "MONITOR: Agents with anticholinergic properties (e.g., sedating antihistamines; antispasmodics; neuroleptics; phenothiazines; skeletal muscle relaxants; tricyclic antidepressants; disopyramide) may have additive effects when used in combination. Excessive parasympatholytic effects may result in paralytic ileus, hyperthermia, heat stroke, and the anticholinergic intoxication syndrome. Guaifenesin is primarily used in the treatment of coughing, but the drug has numerous other uses, including medical, veterinary, and personal. Guaifenesin is in a class of medications called expectorants. It works by thinning the mucus in the air passages to make it easier to cough up the mucus and clear the airways. Hi. Need help identifying a small white pill. Imprint is LM over the score line and 25 under the score line. ## Hi Kassius, Does your pill also happen to have an "X" on the opposite side? I haven't been able to verify my findings, but from what I could gather, a round white pill with those markings is supposed to be an over-the-counter expectorant and bronchodialator by the name of Vasopro. It contains the active ingredients Ephederine (25mg) + Guaifenesin (200mg). Please post back if you think this could be a match!

I had just started using Bronkaid when it was recalled. It had helped my breathing tremendously. I switched to Primatene but don't like it as well I've been following the progress of Bronkaid availability, but it is getting frustrating. It was supposed t o be end February. Walmart had a coupon, but then said they had no stock yet. Just run a google search for a "compounding pharmacy (your city)" and there may even be a few that come up in your area....
