little round white pill 93 848 ## Yep, this is a store brand or generic version of Actifed, manufactured by Lemmon and listed as a cold remedy, so the name you will find it under in various stores will differ. It contains Triprolidine 2.5mgs and Pseudoephedrine 60mgs. So it treats both cold and allergy symptoms. Here's some more information if you need it: Actifed Info Click Here ## Walgreens in the beautiful Garden State of New Jersey carries WalAct D, which has the same ingredients as the original Actifed. I am heading out to the Walgreens in East Windsor, on Princeton-Hightstown Road. 609-448-3729. The pharmacist mentioned that they carry several varieties of actifed, and she specifically said that WalAct D is the one I am looking for. Good luck to all the actifed people. it only...

Hi all, I wanted to find out why Actifed (as a brand) got banned by the United and states and JNJ stopped producing it and came up with Sudafed. Is there a reason why? Is there a link to the legal suit that was filed against a JnJ. Any information about why JnJ stopped producing it would help. Thanks. ## Irebel is on the right track. One of the ingredients in Actifed was Pseudoephedrine [1], and due to regularly increasing rates of abuse, and large purchases used to manufacture illicit substances, its status was changed, and to gain better control of the supply, it was moved behind the pharmacy counter, so someone could only purchase a certain amount, plus they had to sign for it, and show identification when buying it. Once this happened, it severely cut down on sales, and some manufac...

i was prescribed supradol 30mg after a root canal... is it okay if keep taking my actifed at night for my allergies? ## Hello, Ols! How are you? Supradol is listed as containing Ketorolac, which the FDA classifies as being a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to relieve pain, fever and swelling. Typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irrigation and increased risk of bleeding. However, what are the ingredients in the Actifed that you take? It has been discontinued in the U.S. and I don't what country you're in to look for the correct list of ingredients to check it for you.

I know they took actifed off the market but I need it it's absolutely the ONLY thing that works for me during my horrific allergy season from April til mid July there has not been ONE day of relief yet except for the fact I have 3 expired actifed left and took one and felt amazing so basically I suffer each and every day for 90 or more days straight. If you can help with telling me something that will actually work I would greatly appreciate it!! Thank you all in advance! ## Walgreens sells it under the name Wal Act

Background: Been taking 1 Actifed/Aprodine a day for at least 30 years. Started taking it for allergies and discovered as I got older and had trouble sleeping that it helped greatly with that. (Some folks have the opposite side effect and it makes them hyperactive.) Like most of those posting here it is getting harder and harder to get even though I have a prescription from my physician to purchase it in bottles of 100. No dice. Aprodine seems to have phased it out in 100s likely because it's much cheaper than the blister packs. Question: My allergist tells me Actifed is one of the "older" antihistamines and that it has the ability to penetrate the blood/brain barrier and that this quality may have negative implications for long term usage. And that is all I can find out, bu...

I'm looking for the old formulation of Actifed. Are there any countries that still sell it? I know you can use it to make drugs, but it's the only thing that works for me (and it helps me sleep too). I would not have ANY problem having the FBI at my house if I could get some. They'd be sitting on my shelf just exactly like my 16 bottles of shampoo, 42 bars of soap and 18 boxes of bandaids (I'm not a hoarder, I just hate running out of stuff...and stupidly, before that stuff went away, I didn't buy a ton of it). The stuff they sell behind the counter is a reformulation....it's different. ## Actually, Janet, those are the ingredients in the new formulation. The original Actifed contained Pseudoephedrine and Tripolodine. Ref: The new formulation [NDC 27854-119] con...

Actifed Sinus Daytime Acetaminophen + Pseudoephedrine

Paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen,[a] is a medication used to treat fever and mild to moderate pain.[11][12] At a standard dose, paracetamol only slightly decreases body temperature;[11][13][14] it is inferior to ibuprofen in that respect,[15] and the benefits of its use for fever are unclear.[11][16][17] Paracetamol may reliev...

is this med just like actifed cold and allergy ## Hi Tina, I posted the active ingredients in each one of these medications so you could see the differences: Actifed Cold And Sinus contains: Acetaminophen + Pseudoephedrine + Triprolidine Actifed Sinus Daytime contains: Acetaminophen + Pseudoephedrine Actifed Cold and Allergy contains: Chlorpheniramine + Phenylephrine As you can see, all three of these contain different ingredients depending on whether or not your primary focus is treating allergy symptoms and a cold or maybe just sinus related issues. But I'm sure each one of these brands can be used interchangeably to some degree if you are experiencing a bit of everything. In that regard, they are similar because they have similar ingredients used for a similar purpose; but no the...

Actifed Cold and Allergy Pseudoephedrine + Triprolidine

Pseudoephedrine (PSE) is a sympathomimetic drug of the phenethylamine and amphetamine chemical classes. It may be used as a nasal/sinus decongestant, as a stimulant, or as a wakefulness-promoting agent[4] in higher doses.[5] It was first characterized in 1889, by the German chemists Ladenburg and Oelschlägel, who used a sample that had been isolated from Ephedra vulgaris by the Merck pharmaceutical corporation of Darmstadt, Germany.[6] The...

I always found Actifed to be the only cold medicine that worked for me. Now I cant find it at any of my local drug stores even behind the counter. Is it still available? Even the pharmacist I talked to thought it was on the shelf and then realized they quit carrying it. ## Yes, it keeps my sinus issues under control while I sleep. Not finding it anywhere is very troubling. I am wondering if it is available under a different product name. ## September 2011: The best (for me) medicine to control post nasal discharge and allergic reactions has disappeared. Some store still carry Actifed Plus (with added analgesic) but I don't need that. The pharmacists have no info...and there is no other product on the market that I can find that has the same active ingredient (other well-known brands...

Can sombody tell me where can I find it? ## Actifed cold and allergy medicine... ## I'm sorry, but everywhere I've looked that carried it lists it as no longer being available and other information I've found also lists it only being in available now, in a few other countries. The most recent formulations contains Chlorpheniramine and Phenylephrine and this same combination is available in many other products on the market, including generics and store brands. Have you tried asking your pharmacist for an equivalent?

I found 3 small white round pills with the imprint of (i think NL 503) and on the other side of the pill is blank in my son's room. i have tried to look it up on google with no answers. Please help ## Possibly a discontinued Actifed antihistamine/decongestant containing pseudoephedrine and tripolidine. I had an old bottle that also contained pills imprinted with TCL 090 with the same ingredients. I was given Actifed by a relative in about 1971 (age 9) instead of a pain pill when a firecracker blew up in my hand. I had small blood blisters and remember a slight euphoria with just one pill.
