Both my mom and I are chronic pain suffers. I have had 3 back surgeries and she has had 1 and has osteoarthritis. Actavis percocet are really bad. No good for pain even at 10/325. She was taking Lortab 10/500 and since the switch she has had hives, nausea, ringing in the ears. We believe it is the pain pills causing the problem. My pharmacist that I have known for years due to chronic pain from cancer/severe spinal injuries and a totaled knee, told me last week that it is the DEA that has created the change in ALL pain meds. I have been on Watson Norco for 10 years and now I am in severe withdrawal with actavis buying out Watson. It is unbearable and my pharmacist said that people will DIE because of not being forewarned or informed ahead of time. This is all due to the people that use the drugs recreationally; and whatever else they do has ruined it for us real patients. I had been on Watson 10/325 for a few months for chronic shoulder neck pain. Yesterday I got a new prescription and CVS filled it with an A333 long pill (Actavis). Now I find ~ after questioning the pharmacist and scouring the Internet ~ that Watson is no longer available and {I also find} that the pills I received are probably Actavis' newly released abuse-deterrent pill. This was dispensed as a regular generic version of my Percocet prescription....of which nobody mentioned the switch. The new white Norco by Actavis does not work as well as the Yellow Norco by Watson did. With these white ones I also experience the same bad side effect as other generic Norco which is severe migraine headaches. At times I forego taking the pain meds out of fear for the migraine I know that will follow. Actavis obviously changed the formula. Most pharmacies sell watson or actavis lorazepam in my area (LA), but I had serious side effects with no calming effect from watson so I returned to Rite Aid after taking one tablet. I heard that watson was taken over by actavis and they are manufactured at the same factory and same medicine. I used to take qualitest and that worked great but was discontinued. I also tried Mylan which was ok but they are discontinuing as they said they don't have inventory and don't know when the last batch is released. Leading pharma does not work for me, causing serious side effects. I visited or called about 30 pharmacies in my area but they only deal with leading pharma, watson and actavis. Is sandoz lorazepam the same as watson or actavis? I mean, the same brand? I heard that they are same company or same manufacturer. I took watson but due to serious side effect (panic attack, heart pounding, dehydration, choking, asthma, internal tremor, insomnia) with no calming effect, I was very ill so could not take it. I found an white oblong pill with watson 778 on it. Looked it up and can't find anything on it ## Hi Mysta, Did you get these from a real licensed pharmacy or did you order them from overseas? I also wonder if you could've accidentally misinterpreted the imprint on the pill? Reason I ask is because there are no specific details confirming that these particular tablets even exist (at least through my own research on the internet). Help!!!! I've loved the Watson brand of Lorazepam. I just take a small amount and it eases my anxiety. HOWEVER, Actavis bought Watson and (trust me) the product is no longer effective. OMG. So frustrating. I just started immediate release amphetamine salts (Actavis, half-moon, #26) on tablet. 20 mg (3X daily). Reaction (allergy) unsure? Gastric bypass patients NEED IR. Is Zenzedi immediate release? The DEA? ## Hi allie, It seems like a lot of patients have been experiencing problems with the Norco made by Actavis (formerly known as Watson). Apparently from what I understand, after Watson was bought out, Actavis made some "unnecessary" changes within the inactive ingredients, causing them to not be nearly as effective as their yellow predecessor. If you want to put in a complaint, I would suggest filing a report with the FDA under their MedWatch program, which can be reached at: fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch/default.htm Maybe if enough people report similar problems they will consider making changes. I had been taking 5/325 generic Watson percocet for 4 years. Suddenly I get notified by Walgreens which I have insurance that there is no more Watson brand and I was given generic percocet 5/325 by Actavis. It is not the same at all. It has no pain relief for me. I used to break the watsons in half sometimes and never had a funny taste. I just broke one of the actavis white tablets in half and it immediately tasted like salt or alka seltzer? Has anyone had any issues with this drug too.
