I have been taking Tecta for a year or so ! I just visited the health canada site and they advise that this drug should not be prescribed for longer then 6 to 8 weeks? Why was I not advised of that from my doctor..Lately I have been experiencing heart palpitations. I am on my 15th day on escitalopram 10mg I have been sleeping normal hours but also taking phenergen before bed but last night took a while to go to sleep and slept all night and till 1pm today also having bad acid reflux. still depressed and anxious but not as bad. will the reflux go away as I had reflux with avanza for 5 years and stopped taking avanza 12mths ago and the reflux was nearly gone too.I suffered really bad with reflux and don't want to go through that again. my pharmacy would not fill my prescription for omeprazole because I also take vyvanse ## Omeprazole can cause some medications, such as Lisdexamfetamine to be absorbed much faster than they nornally would, which could result in your getting to much of the medication at once. Have you tried talking to your doctor about an alternative? There are also some over the counter items on the market that may be safe for you to use, but you should ask your doctor or pharmacist just to be certain.

I'm taking Benazipril and Triam/Hctz and having pretty intense acid reflux issues, even if meds are taken with food and plenty of water. Is there an alternative medication I should try that might not affect my stomach so badly? I started taking lisinopril a couple of years ago. I never really got the cough. However I got acid reflux that was debilitating. I was prescribed pantoprazole for that. I hate the long term side effects and was looking for an alternative - and wondering how I suddenly got reflux. I stopped the pantoprazole two weeks ago and am coping with apple cider vinegar. After some research it seems that lisinopril can cause stomach issues. So I stopped that yesterday and am drinking hibiscus tea instead. I have been on xalkori for about a year now; diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer that mets to the pancreas. Hi, I suffer with chronic heart burn and would like to know what else i could use. I've tried tums. I can eat a whole bottle and it doesn't help. I've also tried 150mg ranitidine which doesn't help. I started taking Daliresp five ago and I have flu like symptoms, very sick to my stomach, headache, dizzy, nervous, tightest burning sensation in my chest. But my main problem is acid reflux and gas. I take 20 mg Prilosec twice a day and I can't eat anything because of this. Just wondering anyone has had this problem and if so what did they do help themselves. I am a 28 years old man suffering from hyperacidity & acid reflux in throat. There are many antacids available, according to NIH reports, and they can be very helpful for such an issue. Other problems that are listed by the NIH as possibly contributing include spicy foods, acidic foods, caffeine and alcohol. What does your normal diet consist of? When you have acid reflux it is a classic sign you do not have enough good gut flora in your stomach. See the work on youtube of Dr Joel Wallach. ## There is no 'gut flora' in the stomach. The stomach is incredibly acidic and is designed to kill bacteria in the stomach. While you are correct that acid reflux is a sign of something more serious, and taking acid reflux medication is not a good solution to this problem. And reducing stomach acid can actually allow bacteria to grow in the stomach when it could not before the acid reduction. Taking medications is a 'band aid' that does not solve the problem, but actually makes it worse.

Which medicine containing Ursodeoxycholic Acid is most used to reduce Bile Reflux? ## Ursodiol is the brand name of ursodeoxycholic acid that I hear of most, so I'd personally suggest giving that a try. Other brand names worth considering are: Actigall, Urso Forte, Urso 250. I hope this helps!

I have been on potassium citrate meds since February ‘22 to help control the formation of kidney stones and I am beginning to have trouble with acid reflux. My urologist tells me that some people come off these meds because of this and just deal with the occasional stone instead of putting up with the side effects of the meds. Does anyone have any experiences to share? ## Have you asked your doctor what you can do to alleviate the reflux? Hello, I have a hormonal imbalance and my doctor prescribed me to take diane 35pills for 6 mos. To correct this problem. But as soon as I took the 7th pill in my first pack, I stopped taking Diane cause I was experiencing an Acid Reflux, will there be a problem if i left the pack unfinished? Planning to change my pills but don't know when is the best time to restart again since i havent finish the first pack of diane. Currently, I am taking also anothet medicine called Minirin 100mg per day does it react with it?

I started on Xarelto about 3 months ago. AFter about a week, my legs were in so much pain. I delt with it for about a month. Then noticed the worst pain was after I took my acid reflux blocker. I decided to go off the acid reflux blocker. My legs started feeling better and after about 2 weeks, I was pain free. Unfortunately I had to take a acid blocker and with in 15 minutes, my legs were in pain again. I never had pain in my legs from acid blocker before Xarelto. Again, by 2 weeks my legs felt good being off the blocker. Now my acid reflux is back. I tried a different acid blocker medication, the same thing. My legs are in pain. Does anyone else have a problem like this? I wanted to stay on the xarelto instead of going on warfarin, but I'm going to have to go back to the acid block...

After 6 mos on 300 mg allopurinol, headaches still occur, sometimes migraines, acid reflux has gotten worse and worse, never was a problem before. Was put on tecta for that, am allergic to it, only on one week caused hives, itching, dizziness sometimes with spinning vertigo, so no more of that one. I am wondering if anyone with these problems had them lessen when changing to uloric. It is supposed to have fewer side effects. ## There is also a risk of it causing side effects, which the NIH lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, GERD, dry mouth, and changes in urination. That is just the nature of adding a chemical to the body to try to correct a problem. Have you started taking it, yet? If so, has there been any change? Are you on any other medications?

I am having a very difficult time with acid reflux while taking tasigna. My doctor doesn't approve any of the acid reflux medicine as they are unsafe.
