I'm supposed to take 15 ml every 6 hours or as needed of 7.5/325 hydrocodone acetaminophen...how many mg is that ? aka how many tablespoons? I've been in severe mouth pain and I think I've taken too much today. qty is 420. I started off with 420 now I'm at about 370-380. ## Hello, sdalton! How are you? 15mls would be 3 teaspoons, each teaspoon contains 5mls, but make sure to use a proper measuring spoon, not a regular household teaspoon, because they are not accurate. A tablespoon is approximately 14.786mls, so you could also just take one of them, if you're going to take the full dose. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth an...

I got a bottle of hydrocodone 7.5/325 liquid and I feel like my son may have switched it out for something else. Does anyone know what color it should be? ## Sorry to hear about the situation with your son. If you don't mind my asking, what causes you to think that the contents were switched out? Lack of efficacy or...? From what I can gather, the color of the liquid is reported to be red. For verification, the inactive ingredients in 'Hycet' (hydrocodone bitartrate 7.5 + acetaminophen 325mg) oral solution include: D & C Red #33 and FD & C Red #40 as coloring. Please note however that the color and viscosity of the liquid are entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer; and therefore may be subject to change without any prior announcement... Hope this helps!...

My daughter is 12 and her weight is 160lbs and she had surgery and they gave her 360oz of hydrocodone - acetaminophen 7.5-325mg/15mL and she takes 10mL every 4 hours. How long should this bottle of meds last? ## Hi Kayla - Can you please double check the total size of the bottle? 360 oz doesn't seem possible for a prescription since that equals over 10,000 ml. Do you mean to say 360 ml? ## I'm going to assume for a moment that the OP meant 36 oz of liquid since that equals about 1065 ml. That being the case, taking a dose every 4 hours equals 6 doses per day. BUT ... I will also assume only 5 doses per day since the patient is probably sleeping longer than 4 hours, and taking 5 doses per day at 4 hour intervals equals 16 hours of wake time. So ... 50 ml per day of liquid. 1065 m...

What would the name be on a bottle of liquid hydrocodone for being 5 mg ## Hi Carol, The only brand names I'm aware of are Lortab Elixir, Liquicet, and Tussigon. However, Lortab Elixir and Liquicet contain a combination of Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen; and not just Hydrocodone by itself. Tussigon also comes with Homatropine methylbromide, which is added to discourage overdosing. One other brand name containing the same ingredients as Tussigon is Hycodan, but this has reportedly been discontinued in the US. What brand name did you receive from your doctor?

I have a bottle of hydrocodone/acetaminophen 7.5-325 15ml. I am use to taking a high dose of tablets at once because my body is so used to it. If i take the liquid, how much would I take for it to work? ## Hello, Lilly! How are you? You really can't keep taking such high amounts, at once, you're far exceeding the dosage limits for the Acetaminophen, which is only 1,000mgs maximum per dose. 6 tablets would be 1,950mgs per dose. It's also not safe to exceed 3,000mgs of Acetaminophen a day, due to the risk of liver damage, liver failure or fatal toxicity. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I Found a blottle that read HYDROCODOE/APAP ELX PMA I was just curious as to how strong it was, it's yellow..If that matters any. ## I'm thinking the "ELX" probably stands for Elixir, which is liquid. And from what I could gather, Hydrocodone Bitartrate + Acetaminophen Oral Solutions come in dosages of: 7.5 mg/500 mg per 15 mL. I noticed that this dosage has yellow dye in it as well if that helps: "In addition, the liquid contains the following inactive ingredients: ammoniated glyyerrhizin, dibasic sodium phosphate, citric acid, ethyl maltol, polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, purified water, saccharin sodium, sodium citrate, sodium benzoate, sodium gluconate, sorbitol solution, with D&C Yellow No. 10 and FD&C Yellow No. 6 as coloring, and natural and art...

I have 7.5-325/15ML - How many ML would it take to equal one pill of hydrocodone? ## Hello, Katie! How are you? From what you've listed the dosage is 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen per 15mls, so that would be the same as taking the same dosed tablet. However, you should not exceed the given dosage instructions. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Sooooo is that one tablet for every 15mls? ## 15 ml is one 7.5 pill. A 5 oz bottle is almost equal to 9.5 pills.

How are you? 15, that's what the 7.5-325/15 means on the label, that's the dosage you get in 15mls, 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## 5 mls is 1 teaspoon. 1 teaspoon of this med is 7.5 mg Hydrocodone/325 Acetaminophen. ## if 5 mls is 1 teaspoon, than the 15 would refer to 3 teaspoons equaling the actual dosage of 7.5-325. how many pills is this eqiulent to ## Hi John, The milliliters (ML) refers to the size of the container, or dosage, but doesn't provide enough information to answer your question. Are you reffering to Hydrocodone APAP 7.5/500 liquid? If so, I can tell you that 1 tablespoonful of Hydrocodone APAP 7.5/500 liquid would be the equivalent of one Hydrocodone APAP 7.5/500 tablet. The intention is to give 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen in each dose. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone I hope this helps! ## That is all wrong it will tell what the Dr is is PER ML meaning 7.5/500 per 15 ML means in ONE OUNCE is 2 7.5 tablets.... How much of the red liquid hyrdrocodone 325\5 mg would equal to three 1,000s norcos? ## Each teaspoons equals hydrocodone 5 mg /acetaminaphen 325 mg. ## Hello, Ashley! How are you? What BL has stated is correct, unless the label specifies otherwise. As to the Norco you mentioned, there is no Norco available that contains 1,000mgs of anything. The maximum dosage currently available on the market contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Norco was actually the name brand for a lower dose of this analgesic combination, so if you were taking it, then you were most likely taking 5/325mgs. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth an...

My son is 11 months old and had surgery and was prescribed hydro/APAP for his pain. It is 7.5/325 in 15ml. The pharmacy calls it Tylenol 4. I'm just wondering if this is really safe to use on an 11 month old. ## Tylenol 4 is 60 mg Codeine and 325 mg Acetaminophen. It sounds like the prescription is for hydrocodone 7.5 mg/Acetaminophen 325 mg. There is Hydrocodone 7.5 mg/Acetaminophen in Each 5 ml. ## I don't know what type of surgery but that's too much for an 11 month old,I would try plain tylenol,if it doesn't help,I would half the dosage on the hydrocodone. ## My son had posterior medial releases on both feet(tendon release for clubfoot ) and also tissue removed from the bottom of his feet because of his extremely high arches which contributed to his clubfoot. I had this bottle of liquid hydrocodone/acetaminophen 7.5-325 mg since 2014. I just want to know if it's still safe to take? ## No, liquids can go bad much faster than other forms and it could actually make you sick if you take it. My child was prescribed hydrocodone-apap 7.5-500 soln in an orange liquid. Also on the main bottle with the label that says Cephalexin for Oral Suspension, USP (250 mg/5ml) 100 ml when mixed. And the pharmacy doctor put 2 of 3 in red marker on bottle. I'm confused. Is the orange liquid suppose to make it easier for him to swallow. ## To be honest, I'm a little confused by your post. You're talking about 2 different medications. The Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen is a narcotic pain reliever, though the Hydrocodone can also help treat couching and the Acetaminophen can help break a fever. The Cephalexin is an antibiotic that is used to treat various types of infections. The color really means nothing, but most medications of this type are given to children in liquid form, sinc...

Hi, my sister was prescribed some liquid hydrocodone, the label reads: take 7.4 ml every six hours 5/5000mg/15ml. What would that be in pill form? ## That would be equivalent to 2.5mgs Hydrocodone and 250mgs of Acetaminophen, per 7.4ml. Or a 5mgs Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen per 15ml. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Was given RX Hydrocod/acetaminophen 7.5-325/15ML every 4-6hrs. Can you also use liquid tylenol 500 mg over the counter together, alternating? ## You should not combine OTC tylenol with any prescription meds that also contain tylenol. You may want to call or see your Dr or dentist if the rx you were given isn't helping the pain. ## I Ran out of my hydrocodone/ acetaminophen 10-325 T. About how many of the over the counter extra strength Tylenol's can I take to get close to the hydro's. I'm out of town for 2 more days. Need something to ease pain up at least somewhat. Any advice would be great. Thanks. ## You should not take more than 4,000 mg Tylenol in a 24 hour period or more than 1,000 mg every 6 hours.
