Ok, This tylenol-cod #4 is not very strong...I take Ibuprophen 800 mg for fibromyalgia/arthritis..Waiting for the Docs to figure that one out?? I have two different drugs given for two different dental surgeries. The first one, the 7.5-300 says to take every 6-8 hours so I thought it was the stronger of the two. The other one says to take every 4-6 hours. Which of these drugs is really stronger? This means that it would be illegal to obtain them via other means if you reside in the US. I was wondering because I took an excedrin for my headache if I can also take two 2063 V pills containing 300mgs of acetaminophen + 30mgs of codeine phosphate? ## Both of these medications contain Acetaminophen, so there is a risk of overdose toxicity if you double up, according to FDA warnings. They state that you should not exceed 1,000mgs in an 8 period, and no more than 3,000mgs in any 24 hour period. Exceeding that risks overdose toxicity, which may include stomach ulceration, liver damage, liver failure, or death. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is Hydrocodone the same or contain the same ingredients/drugs as Tylenol 3 with codiene? ## From what I could gather, Tylenol 3 is composed of two analgesic or pain-relieving drugs: acetaminophen + codeine. Inactive ingredients complete the composition of this medication. So to better answer your question, hydrocodone is not the same, nor is it even contained in this medication. You might be thinking of norco or lortab, which contain a similar combination of acetaminophen + hydrocodone. Both medications are used for pain relief, but I'd consider hydrocodone to be much more potent than codeine from my own experience. I have been reading some information, and I am wondering if Tylenol 3 is the same as Hydrocodone? ## Based on my research, Tylenol 3 is composed of two analgesic or pain-relieving drugs: Acetaminophen + Codeine. But "NOT" Hydrocodone. Hydrocodone is alot like codeine, except that codeine is said to be a natural derivative of opium plants whilst hydrocodone is synthetic.
