would like to suggest a glucose pen such like the epi pen for my brother with type 1 diabetes. ## And Epi pen, is Ephiphrine, used to treat allergies and would not do anything for diabetes. You are able to buy both tablets that dissolve in the mouth, as well as liquid drops at virtually any drugstore, that work fast to relieve a low sugar attack. Orange Juice, or any liquid with a regular sugar content will help to bring him out of it, just follow it with something like yogurt or a sandwich that contains long sugar molecules to maintain the sugar balance at a higher level. ## Glucagon is an injectable treatment for low blood sugar, primarily for those with type 1 diabetes or who have frequent low blood sugars that require help to treat. It works much like an Epipen and comes in a kit. I...

Can myrbetric cause blood glucose to rise? Am 55, never been diagnosed as diabetic and am getting early morning fasting readings of 140. Weight is normal. Have been on myrbetric about 3-4 months ## Hello, Greg! How are you? The FDA does not have this listed as a known/proven side effect, however, other people taking it have reported experiencing this and having it stop, when they stopped the medication. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and stomach pain. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have had exactly the same thing , started back in May and finally figured it out about a month ago and stopped the medicine and it is back to normal. i am normal weight and had no high sugars prior to taking the myrbetriq

Help, I've been feeling faint, nauseous and dizzy for 2 years now. I can't exercise without feeling like I will black out and I must take several glucose tablets per day or I'm on the floor with flu-like symptoms. Something has gone really wrong with my health and I need help. Should I stop taking omeprazole? Am I experiencing side effects? ## Hello, Bri! How are you? The FDA does report hypoglycemia as being a possible side effect of this medication. You may also experience stomach pain, depression, flatulence and dry skin. You may need to stop taking it, or switch to a different medication, but only your doctor can help you decide what's right for you. Is there anything else I can help with?

Will hydrocodone/APAP 5/325 raise glucose levels for diabetics? ## I've done several searches on the medication information and haven't found anything stating that it's been known to do so, but you should check with your doctor, or pharmacist to be certain. Was it prescribed by the same doctor that treats you for Diabetes?

I am a diabetic and hypertension patient for the last 20 years. My glucose fluctuates from 45mg to 500mg. I am taking 3 Insulin injections daily. My doctor feels it may be due to tension and depression and has prescribed "clonotril-0.5" to help me get relief from the depression. I am afraid by taking this medicine that my glucose is getting too low while sleeping. Please advise whether I should take this medicine and whether it has any side effect? Thanks. ## Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor? They are really the only person qualified to advise you. And yes, all medication carries the risk of side effects, even over the counter items. Clonotril contains the active ingredient Clonazepam, which is a Benzodiazepine and its side effects may include: nausea, dizziness...

I take coveram 5/5 for blood pressure one tablet in the morning and 2.5mg doanil for diabatic,I read on the coveram leaflet that coveram effect dibatic medicine .so please advise on the effect of coveram on the glucose level .Thanks ## Coveram contains the active ingredients Amlodipine and Perindopril and taking the Perindopril with the Daonil can make the Daonil more effect, which increases the risk of developing low blood sugar. Is your doctor aware that you are taking both of these medications? If so, they should have carefully considered the dosage and they should be monitoring your regularly for any problems.

The doctors believe my good friend has fiber myalgia. They recommend a gluten free diet because she is suffering from major bloating and joint pain, waking up with with severe burning in her hand. She can't sleep because its too painful. I'm trying to discover what medications have gluten in them. Its one thing we haven't considered. ## Well, first glucose and gluten aren't the same thing. Gluten, however, is the one you're probably talking about, because it has been known to cause these problems in some people. As to the medications that contain it, that would be most of them that are on the market, so I couldn't possibly list them all here. However, if you can post back with a specific list of the medications she takes, I will gladly check for you to see which ...

Please if any one can help with this it would be appreciated Thanks. Also I take 1- Glipizide ER 5mg. first thing in the morning. ## You may ask your Doctor to reduce glyburid, to 1-or-2 mg it causes bs to drop real fast if you dont eat. I am diabetic too, on the same meds. Eat you breakfast or dont take the meds till u do.
