From what I've been able to find, this is an over the counter product called Guaipax SR that is listed as containing 75mgs of Phenylpropanolamine and 400mgs of Guaifenesin, it is a cold remedy that helps relieve nasal congestion. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, dry throat, nervousness and insomnia. That also explains why it's been hard to find an identification for it, over the counter medications are not required to be listed with the FDA like prescription drugs. I only ask because there aren't any actual drug listings that match that particular imprint, without being followed by a three-digit number on the other side (usually starting with a "2xx"). IS TEVA 74 MADE OF THE SAME COMPOUND AS AMBIEN, OR DOES IT HAVE SLIGHT VARIATION..?? ## The pill in description is Zolpidem (10 mg), which is actually the generic for Ambien; however Generic Zolpidem is approved for the short-term (usually about two to six weeks) treatment of insomnia while Ambien CR is approved for long-term use….so I am assuming it may not be exactly one in the same (having a slight variation as you mentioned). Do you know what the markings are on the orange oblong pill? If so, I may be able to look up the dose and inactive ingredients of it. Generally when you switch brand names or manufacturers the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. Certain "inactive"...
