I usually take three 5mg generic percocets that are not Instant Release. I just picked up my script and noticed it has been changed to generic OxyIR that is Instant Release. Do I take my dose as usual? What would be the differences or hazards? ## You should take your dose according to whatever your doctor's prescribing instructions are. The difference between the two is that the Percocet contained both Oxycodone and Acetaminophen and was a regular release formula. The OxyIR contains JUST Oxycodone, without the Acetaminophen and is instant release, so it works to relieve your pain much faster. If so, what is it, what does it look like what mg is it? ## No, the medication name would just be Percocet, it contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, so it's a narcotic pain reliever. Sometimes numbers do follow the name to designate the dosage, but there is no Percocet on the market with 5mgs of Oxycodone and 125mgs of Acetaminophen. Does percocet come in 20mg? ## I'm assuming you're referring to the amount of the narcotic in it, the Oxycodone? If so, then NO, it does not. Percocet, which contains the Oxycodone, coupled with Acetaminophen, is only available in a maximum dosage of 10mgs Oxycodone and 650mgs of Acetaminophen. How would a doctor write out a prescription for 15mg percs? Would it just say 15mg Percocet? I currently take 7.5mg/325 percocets but I'm going to a new doctor since mine moved away and I wanted to change the mgs to 15 without the acetaminophen. what strength percocet MLX152 ## THIS IS NOT PERCOCET, NOR ANY TYPE OF NARCOTIC!
