I have a pill that is supposed to be 5 milligram Percocet.... So this pill is oval and on one side it has "500" and on the other side it says "6 slash 32" ## A tablet with G 32 on one side and 500 on the other side contains 500mgs of Naproxen, is manufactured by Glenmark Generics. NDC code: 68462-190 The color is very pale, so it does look white to many people. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach irritation, increased risk of bleeding, and headache. So no, it is not Percocet, or any type of narcotic. Inactive ingredients may include: microcrystalline cellulose croscarmellose sodium povidone magnesium stearate Though they can vary, depending on the manufacturing facility. Is there anything else I can help with?

What is a pink-ish / orange pill with G | 32 on one side, and 500 on the other inscribed on it? Could it be a Hydrocodone tablet? ## Hi Rachael - the tablet you described is Naproxen 500 mg, NOT Hydrocodone. (NDC 68462-190) Naproxen is an NSAID pain reliever, whereas Hydrocodone is an opiate pain reliever - so they are in different classes of meds. I was taking Lortab 10-325, went to my doc today and he gave me Lortab 10-500MG, what is the difference? Did I get a stronger pain pill or a weaker one?? ## The only difference is that one has 325 mg tylenol and the other one has 500 mg tylenol. The FDA made manufacturers not put more than 325 mg into the prescription combination medications effective Jan 2014.The FDA recently took steps to withdraw their approval for prescription medications that contain more than 325 mg tylenol. It won't be long before you won't be able to get any prescription drugs with more than 325 mg tylenol. Your dr may have just made a mistake. But, yo udo need to mention it to him when you see him again. Also effective Oct 6, 2014 Lortab will become a Schedule II medications and thee will be no refills,...

Is lortab 10 / 325 weaker than lortab 10 / 500 ## Hello, Jim! How are you? Yes and no, the amount of Acetaminophen in it is lower and the ones with the higher doses are no longer available. This medication was changed and all formulations that are now available can only contain a maximum of 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose. However, the Acetaminophen augments the action of the narcotic for some people, so the one with the higher amount of it may work better for them, but it doesn't work that way for everyone, so for some people these might basically be equivalent, since they both contain 10mgs of the Hydrocodone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, d...

What is difference in ingredients between Hydrocodone and Vicodin? I am trying to find out what is stronger: Hydrocodone Acetaminophen 10 325 or are Vicodin 500 tablets stronger? ## Hi Viv, To answer your question I first need to explain that Vicodin actually contains both Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen as the active ingredients. So in your comparison, both drugs contain the same active ingredients, just in different doses. Hydrocodone Acetaminophen 10 325 is a generic for Norco containing Hydrocodone 10mg and Acetaminophen 325mg. Vicodin 500 contains Hydrocodone 5mg and Acetaminophen 500mg. So the generic Norco which you have contains twice as much Hydrocodone (the opioid ingredient) but less Acetaminophen than the Vicodin. I hope that this makes sense, and let me know if you need any m...

Original script was Endocet 7.5-500mg. Dr gave me a refill but it was for Oxycod/APAP 5-325mg. I understand both are generic for Percocet, but is the Endocet a stronger dose? If so, I don't know why the refill was for a lower dose than the original. Thanks ## It looks like the Endocet is a stronger dose of both medications. How long have you been taking Endocet before the switch was made? Just my thoughts, but I think the doctor lowered the dose perhaps to help ween you off of the medication as it can become a strong addiction over a long period of time. (This of course depends on your current condition and if the symptoms are lesser than before). Please post back if you have any other questions or comments to add.

My husband takes the Hydrocodone/Apap 5-500MG Tablet by Mallinckrodt. When we went to a different drug store, they gave us Hydrocodone/Apap 10-325. The drug store says it's the same as Hydrocodone/Apap 5-500MG. This can't be true? ## Well, no, obviously not, this is clearly a different dosage of the medication. The first tablet he was receiving contained 5mgs of the narcotic Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. The new one contains 10mgs of the Hydrocodone and only 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is completely different and not equivalent at all. The higher dose of the narcotic could cause more severe side effects, such as: drowsiness, nausea, dizziness and constipation. In addition, it could cause him to build a tolerance or addiction faster, and when he does get the other p...
