I'm having a severe headache and have been for 3 days. Went to Dr yesterday and they gave me a script for a headache pill but it didn't work. They also gave me a pain shot and steroid shot that didn't work! Today they called in a script for butalb acetaminophen caffeine 50 300 40 and it's not working. How long should it take for this to work or should I go to see if I need any tests ran? ## It should start to help within 15 to 20 minutes of taking it, according to the NIH, since it is a regular release medication. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and stomach pain. Are you on any other medications? Has the headache eased, yet? ## I'm not on any other meds and today is the first day without a headache in 7 days .

These caps are expensive. Made in cap form & only difference in dosage is that the APAP in caps is 300 mg vs the APAP in tab form is 325 mg. Any info on coupons for the caps? I've tried a lot of the coupons & still remain $70 to $100 for 60. My Dr has written them specifically for TABLET form but the pharmacy said they are only carrying the caps. What are the milligrams of but/acetaminophen/caff 50-300-40 cp? I'm 75 and take a # of medications for restless leg, fibromyalgia and arthritis. I've never taken this drug before, but had what the dr.s think was a migraine weeks after eye surgery. Eye dr. has checked my eyes. Do I have to take this drug every day? I have bitten my tongue a few months ago and my work had me travel out of the US. I have seen a dentist which prescribed me Diclo K 50 mg 3 times a day, it did reduce the swelling temporarily but the infection is still with me. Ok my sister is worried about me taken the amount of this medication. I'm taken 2 tablets of hydrocodon-acetaminophn 10-500 as needed 3 times a day. This would mean I'm taken 60-3000. Is this gonna cause problems with my liver. What is a healthy liver number before one should start to be concerned. ## According to the FDA, the current maximum recommended adult dose of acetaminophen is 4,000 milligrams per day.
