This my first time taking liquid methadone. The one I got is kinda like a mint green color. People I know who the methadone said they never seen it in this color, only like a cherry red or orange. I would just like Ike to know if the stuff I got is real??? However if this had happened to me I'd probably contact the pharmacy where I got it filled at and verify that the drug and dosage are correct. I've been a H addict for a long time and switched to methadone about 6 years ago. I have tapered myself down from 100 mg to 6 mg. I know when I'm going into withdrawal, I am physically addicted not mentally, and I don't think I'm going into withdrawal from this low dose. I take 70 mg of Methadone daily for the past week and that've been tapering down from 100 mg. i go to the clinic daily by 8 am. Today at 6pm I took 5mg of Valium. I've been sick and im on 100 mg of Methadone a day and I was wondering if it would be o.k. to take with Mucinex-DM with my methadone? ## Hi April, According to The University of Maryland's drug interaction tool, there aren't any interactions between Mucinex DM and Methadone. Based off this information alone, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to take the two together. I've also never heard of anyone having issues using these substances coherently. I have taken opiates lately, and as an addict it is hard not to go for whatever you can get your hands on to make the withdrawals go away. I had a setback and took 150 mg vyvanse, and of course got the energy I was wanting, but now I can not get to sleep. When I lay down I am wide awake, which I'm assuming is from the vyvanse, but I can feel my withdrawal symptoms from the opiates. I've been on methadone for 15 years for severe pain (after 25 years in recovery, and fighting with v.a. for 3 + years not to take pain meds). The head of the local v.a. treatment program recommended it to me; The only way I would take it was if I was guaranteed for life. A recent v.a. dr. took me from 120 mg to 90, last year (with no notice) then this year to 60, with no notice "again". Now he says the max they can write is equivalent to 100mg morphine. I've been taking about 3mg subtext for three months and was going to switch to methadone. Took 20mg today. I've decided it just isn't for me. I want to go back to the subutex. How long do I need to wait to safety take the subutex. ## If you took the methadone while the subutex was still in you system, the subutex would have eliminated the methadone. I take 4-10mg methadone. I'm worried that they also got me on 100mg Zoloft plus a 150mg Trazadone and 2- 20mg adderal. Worred about taking all this pills. I've taken these pills for 8yrs now. The Zoloft they put me on 2 months ago. I breath fine but have had it fill like my brain is starving for oxygen to the point I fill like I'm suffocating or READY to pass out. I have been on 50 mg of methadone tid for a 3 months after 2 years years on 40mgs tid. I am also on 2-3 30 mg oxycodone for breakthrough and 100mg ms contin bid. I have reached this stage due to tolerance after 8 years of use for 9+ pain due L3, L4, and 3 cervical herniations, and spinal stenosis. I am also on 1mg of clorazepam tid. I've been on the methadone program for abit longer then a yr and I want to get off now, I can say for sure that I'm hooked on it.. Is it possible I can quit dry turkey? I was on methadone and tapered down slowly and still went through withdrawals. I have taken 100mg of methadone around 0600 then I took another 100 mg about an hour later.
