I have a constant headache and been prescribed these but am worried about side effects as I'm already feeling nauseous with headaches. I am also on chemo taxol weekly. ## Headache with nausea may suggest a migraine headache. If you are diagnosed with migraine by your physician, he/she may give you a prescription for a medication that specifically treats migraines. Such medications help alleviate both the headache and related symptoms, including nausea. I suggest you see your family doctor first. ## Hello, Jan! How are you? Since you're doctor has already prescribed the Meloxicam, you could try taking it with food or a snack to minimize the possible nausea and stomach irritation it can cause as side effects. Other, as listed by the FDA, may include dizziness and increased risk of...

can i take meloxicam with tramadol

I. Need to slowly get off tramadol can I take meloxicam where I won't have withdrawals ## Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it will not prevent opiate withdrawals. It may help with some of the pain you may experience as a rebound effect, but it won't do much more than that. Its side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation and increased risk of bleeding. How long have you been taking it and how much do you take?

meloxicam as a substitute for ibuprofen

My back has been hurting for 5 days now. I've been taking ibuprofen and my pain would go away but right now i dont have any left and have no way of getting to a store to buy any. Is it ok if i take 1 meloxicam instead for my pain? ## Hello, Tabby! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. Yes, you can take Meloxicam, as long as your doctor approves. The FDA classifies it as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it is in the same class as the Ibuprofen, just more potent. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Can meloxicam 15mg once a day be taken with tramadol 50mg? ## Hi noelle.....yes, tramadol and Meloxicam can be taken together. Meloxicam is a NSAID and tramadol is an analgesic pain med. You are safe.....I took both of those meds at one time but Meloxicam does not help me at all. OTC Ibuprofen works the best as a NSAID for me. ## I am almost finished with all my tramadol a and need to get off of them can I take meloxicam where I won't go into withdrawals

Meloxicam 7.5mg expired 10/13 is it ok to take. Thank you ## Hi Babe! Medications can b expired for years and still b safe 2 take. They may lose their potency, but r safe. ## @Babe, "Most" medications (aside from tetracycline) are still considered safe to take even up to 15 years beyond the expiration date. Harvard Medical School wrote an article about this too, discussing how the US military drew that conclusion after examining stockpiles of old medication. They didn't list the names of any particular drugs, so unfortunately I don't know which medications were used in the study. However, I'd imagine something like Meloxicam with proposed analgesic and fever reducing effects, to be a drug of interest upon making such claims. Would you say was it stored properly all t...
