Will Lomotil Show Up In A Urine Test As Oxycodone

I go to a pain clinic and get urine tested. Yesterday my doc told me that oxycodone showed up on my drug test. I'm not prescribed oxycodone and my doctor discharged me for consumption of oxycodone that wasn't prescribed. My question is this.... I'm prescribed Lomotil for IBS; I know it is a schedule v drug BUT can it show up as a schedule 2 drug in urine tests (such as Demerol/oxycodone) as a false positive? I read that info on the internet and would like to know if anyone else has had the same issue? And how do I go about proving to my doc who wants nothing to do with me and does not believe what I am telling him! Someone please help! Thank You!

I have exact same prblm a and don't kno where go to prove I'm not taking oxycodone. And I was also discharged from pain mngt

I was take Lomotil for diarrhea and I had a drug test and I tested positive for Demerol. I've never taking Demerol and luckily the people at my Dr's office knew that Diphenoxylate in Lomotil is chemically similar to Meperdine aka Demerol. I only started testing positive after starting Lomotil. So they were very understanding because, I'd never tested positive for any other drugs for the 7 years I've been going to pain management. I can only imagine the # of people who have lost jobs, etc. due to false positives that can't be proven otherwise.
