I refilled my monthly subutex Tuesday and received orange oblong tablets inscribed 153. My pharmacy has carried 54/111 over three years. Does anyone know if the orange ones are going to permanently replace all other generic Buprenorphine? Also, are any other patients experiencing loss in quality? Thank you

Wow..That's crazy! I was taking up to 15 painkillers a day, down to 10 a day when I started the new so called orange one's. They work for me from the get go! The main ingredient is the same as is in all..Its different fillers etc! I know this because i was a pharmacy technician for 9 years..I spoke to the Alan my old boss and questioned the difference. He said NO difference for main ingredient..the Burp! I don't know what to tell you really..I know its psychology more of a problem then many think. Our minds play alot in the withdraws we have..Yes, withdraws are real...but I would maybe recommend meditation. Good luck!

Hi TJ...yes...the very small white ones may also have the same fillers...I don't know...,but far far less obviously. They worked very well...so the extra stuff is clearly there so those who prefer to insulfate(that 1% you mention...maybe higher % than that), cannot. And actually... what I specifically dislike it is not the extra bad taste...but that there is so much product to try to keep under the toungue...the best way to assure it is absorbed. So...while I could keep it under my tounge for a long time before....it is now too much product in my mouth. This is my experience...a real patient 5 yrs off after 10+ on!...who could not be happier than having found subutex. I'm not knocking this version for others...it is what it is...just the lack of choice....and the extra $50/mo-if no insurance. Also, I am scripted more than 8...but I have to divide doses(yes I have permission) because I get headaches. We are lucky to get this miracle opiod (even with the side effects)...however...I prefer the smaller pills...for all these reasons. Good health y'all

wow...good for you TJ...that is commendable. I've been happy with this for pain control ...so it is tough to consider stopping. I also imagine it can be tough... including depression, etc. please be careful...keep some around if you need it. I would enjoy a healthy libido again tho. cheers!

The only difference will be the taste. I was in the same boat about 7 months ago or so. Anyway, all is well. I actually prefer the orange ocer the white one's, I feel they last longer.

Bubba dear bubba... They are not new, been taking the orange for a LONG time...lol. Sounds like you get frustrated easy, calm down and don't blow a gasket..lol I'm not an i**** Bubba..Trust me! If you went into withdraws, sounds like maybe your doing something you shouldn't be..lol. Peace.

Bubba, if you are SERIOUSLY having this issue, I would go find a new doctor and a new pharmacy! For example, I flew to Florida..I'm here right now in the middle of all the mess we just had..Anyway, I left mine home except for 3 of my meds..I thought I had my bottle for I grabbed the wrong one. I've been taking very very little to get me by till I get back home and I've had NO problems. So, if you are having any kind of withdraws while taking your meds.. SOMETHING is not right somewhere.
I read such stupid comments and I'm told I don't know what I'm talking about etc...I know what it's all about trust me. I've been taking for a very long time! Again, if you are taking and having withdraws...Go elsewhere!

I get these actavis subs filled in long island for 175 bux for 90 which is much better than the 500 I'd have to pay for strips since my insurance expired. They def dont last as long as the strips i must say but it's better than relapsing on opiates and let me just say i just moved to indiana and i guess sub docs are very limited here due to bulls*** laws because pharmaceutical companies buy politicians and seat them into passing legislation that benefits their profits so now I'm flying to NY every f***ing month to see my dr. Thank god i fly for free or this would all be f***ed up. Thanks big pharma for being so reasonable!

I have just received the same orange 8 mg 153 Subutex from MFG Actavis Elizabeth...I haven't taken any yet becaus I am not sure what to expect as far as changes, I have been taking the MFG Hi-Tech 8 mg Subutex for a year and a half. Des anyone have any experience taking the new Actavis 8 mg Subutex switching from other brands...

Me too! Ive been taking the Hi Tech ones w the arrow for several years -,2- 8mg subutex a day then all the sudden i get these orange huge oval pills at Walgreens. THEY SUCK! They not only taste terrible they don't work as well I feel like I don't even feel like I'm taking anything out for any of the effects from it except for it's giving me bad migraines & night sweats. I called the pharmacy immediately and asked if I could take them back and switch them out and they said no that they were unable to take that controlled substances. I asked if this is what they were going to be getting from now on this activists Elizabeth and they said yes I then called my doctors office and I basically was told o well nothing we can do about it right now. Next time I will search pharmacies until I reach the one with the correct manufacturer. Which ones do you guys think work the best for Subutex 8 mg?

hi subgirl...yea, walgreens said same thing to me. I called walmart pharmacy and thankfully they are still getting Roxanne. Those work great for me. Said that I could take the bottle, and they will have the script (refill) transferred. Won't make that mistake again. Hope you can manage to do the same.

yea Subgurl..for me, the Roxane 54 411's work the best, + they are bigger than the little arrows, so are easy to divide in two /or four pieces...but are not huge like the orange crescent moons ;)

Subgirl..Im fighting with my pharmacy too over the orange monsters .I took them for 1week and nearly died I kept telling them I felt like I wasn't taking anything I had a killer headache nausea my legs hurt and I stayed sleepy all day They acted like I was lying or something I kept on and told them to look them up on the internet and see all the complaints and they finally reordered my white 45/411 roxannes back for me.I have een on them for years and I think they are the best.

This post is not about subs, BUT you all are not crazy. Walgreens and CVS changed my oxy 10/325 with actavis, i got a bad batch or placebo. Walgreens are crooks. They're selling Actavis garbage Imo with drugs that are COMMONLY prescribed. OXY 10/325 IS A standard breakthrough medication for pain. Suboxone/subutex is prescribed a lot...so stand up for urself and get the brand that works with your body!! Good Luck All!!

I normally get high-tech white small ones with an arrow & they work good. I'm on day 5 of orange & i feel like I'm going thru withdrawals. I def don't feel normal. I do not abuse my meds. I have been on subs for almost 5 years & have been clean for the same. I go to mtgs, i live a pretty good life in recovery. I don't know what r in these orange pills but they r def poor quality & there is no way it has my reg dose of 8 mg of buprenorphine. I can't wait till i go to the doctor on Tues, i will def call other pharmacies to see if they have the other brands. This is awful & the pharmacy wouldn't take them back. I am also getting awful headaches & have NO energy.

I agree 100%. After a year on white 2mg Subutex, I was just given the Actavis orange. This is my 2nd day and I feel HORRIBLE. I was told by Walgreens ( had to switch due to closing of Pathmark) that this is what they got when they ordered it AND they discontinued the white ones. The white ones have to be out there somewhere. I had no problem for a year straight. Total disappointment. Gonna be a rough month.
