I hate to see so many people with anxiety issues. I have been diagnosed with PTSD. I have panic attacks that wake me in the night heart pounding. Please scroll down and read my posts, you need to have some documentation. I was so bad the local ERs saw me and treated me well. Then on to the shrink who of course wanted to put me on everything under the sun. But I had documentation and I called my med provider and got a list of Docs or shrinks that would help. I went through a few until I found someone who understood. Try that. Good luck to you and know there are those of us who walk in your shoes. Xanax is a short term solution. Some docs try a valium fix, all depends on what works the best. Be honest, ask for help. Good docs are out there!

Sounds like Anxiety and/or Panic Attack to me. I suffer from both of them. You're right. It's a travesty that people writing about misusing their Ultrams and lying to their doctors have made it so rough on both docs and it's in need. Shrinks such as I have a rather broad leeway in writing for benzos. Have you tried one? For the info you need, go through the grapevine. I was addicted to C-II pills when I was in college and that was an horrific accident but the pills didn't roll into my mouth LOL. There isn't neigh pressure yet on benzo prescribing and the Drug of Choice for you PROBABLY is Klonopin. Good luck finding a compassionate doctor!

Tired of hearing people argue. I agree with the addiction part but my anxiety is ruining every aspect of my life. I feel like a freak. I went from soldier to recluse. I'm in real trouble and without help I'm gonna lose what little I have left. This is no drug seeking joke to me. My life is being ruined by this. I had to run out of Walmart yesterday for no apparent reason besides having an attack. I hate who I've become. But I'm not a (cuss word) addict but would gladly take the meds addictive or not to get out of this hell. I need real help. To all ya'll looking to get a buzz or whatever thanks a lot for making it almost impossible for me to get help.

Is anyone is experiencing anxiety issues,Please go back through this forum I posted the exact way to got through the medical/mental heath system,You need documentation - go to nearest ER with documentation and hopefully you will find a doctor or shrink that will see you that is step one. No one is going to give you the name of a Doctor.Good luck read my post and I hope it helps

Well Dr Joey I guess we just aren't experienced enough for some of our readers and I meant what I said.If I can totally relate and respect a post I will tell you so and we agree a lot .Too bad but addicts don't want the truth. @Greg I usually do not reply to arrogant a**holes who assume I have no idea what folks are going through but ya pissed me off and now you can own it. I have been through more cold turkeys from almost every narcotic out there. I could fill these pages with my war stories. I have empathy for every addict and yeah you are an addict if you are on here looking for a DR. And as for DR Joey the guy knows his s***!!!!!! I am successful because I surround myself with good people and he is one. You might get lucky and get a DR Feelgood but how long is that gonna last. You don't think the DEA reads this site???? Hell once you push send it is out there for everyone to see. I have lost more friends to this disease and have buried them saying to myself so by the grace of my God I am alive. If someone has as serious anxiety problem get help. I have already posted what to do, maybe you or those in need should reread them. And DR Joey I consider a friend who just happens to be one of the better docs who know addiction and I know quite a few. So instead of ranting ACT, and may you find peace. It sounds like you need some!!!!

With 25 years of CLINICAL PRACTICE and physician supervision behind me, DON'T KNOW WHAT THESE PEOPLE ARE GOING THROUGH! I went though it myself, asshat! It was accidental (as Rx addiction was back in the day among why social class) but it still happened and I did receive NON-12 STEP tx. Don't tell me what I know or don't know! The solution to drug addiction is not to prescribe more or slightly modified addictive agents any more than the problem of insomnia is caused by a lack of sleeping pills!

I live in North Carolina and border of South Carolina. I'm needing a pain doctor for my husband. He is a legit patient. Has medical records to show. 7 knee surgeries, 1 neck - c3,c4,c5 were removed after he broke his neck. Also a family physician for Xanax. His anxiety is bad bc he is only 46 and has to take 2000 MG of antibiotics a day from a disease he caught during his ordeal with broken neck. Please let me know asap. I'm hate to watch him suffering more than he needs too. He tried the inj's. and it literally reversed on him causing him to have pain in knees and made him literally bed bound. So if anyone knows what he is going through. Then please let me know asap.
