Need Help Finding A Doctor To Prescribe Me Xanax (Page 33)

Please give me a list of doctors that will prescribe me xanax? I have bad anxiety.

I have been suffering from panic attacks, anxiety & depression for 18 years and have been going to the same psychiatrist for 10 years. I have been on several different anti-depressants & I always come back to the zoloft, because that seems to work the best.
In regards to the anxiety though, I was prescribed xanax initially. After about 4 years of taking the xanax, due to the fact that they have a short 1/2 life & it is east to develop a "dependency" to this medication quicker than some of the other benzos. my doctor switched me to klonopin. For YEARS he I would switch from xanax to klonopin & then back to klonopin every 6-months.
The reason being is because the klonopin would always stop working & I would start getting severe headaches so he would switch me to the xanax. Then, after about 6 months I would need more of the xanax (tolerance) so he would switch me back to klonopin.
He is retiring in 2 months & I cannot find a doctor that will prescribe xanax in Columbia, SC!
DOES ANYONE LIVE IN THIS AREA THAT HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS ON DOCTORS THAT WILL PRESCRIBE THIS MEDICATION???

This is to the jealous Josie's who are completely moronic and don't really read what is written. You know who you are. So Nina went to a Dr who happened to prescribe her a s*** load of stuff; with all she went through I am sure she needed a lot of what he prescribed, maybe not such high doses but hey. For one it was really f'd up for you to say that she messed her own life up and in your opinion she was so messed up from the pills and so on....if you read everything you will see that she does not like all that crap and was NOT bragging about what she got, she was actually pissed off when she realized the cocktail she was on was overkill, and may have died if she hadn't found a new doctor who helped her safely come off the stuff. It was really rotten to verbally attack her on a public website like that. No one cares about your "opinion" anyway. Post facts, not your rude B.S. and that goes to the 2 ppl who talked s***...after her post.

Can anyone help me find a new doctor to prescribe Xanax in Huntington Beach, CA? Mine moved to Hawaii without giving me any kind of notice or reference to another doctor. I'm even withdrawing from them and it's been about a week now. Please get back to me. {edited for privacy}

I read all of these pleas for help ( most of them sound legitimate). But I don't see any answers for help. All I know is that doctors are now afraid to practice medicine because once again our government knows what's best for us. Of course, they are excluded because they have the best medical and won't say know to them. I urge everyone to write your senators and congressmen that unless they back off doctors that it is time for a change of office and see that gets there attention. Until you like myself are destine to suffer through panic attacks.

I live in San Diego and I suffer from panic attacks really bad. My doctor keeps putting me on ssri and i just want to be prescribed a benzo cause I know it works. I go down to tj to buy them legally, but I wish I can find a doctor that will just prescribe them so insurance will pay for it instead of paying cash and having to go down to tj. Does anyone know of a doctor who will just prescribe me Xanax without jumping through a ton of meds that don't work on me? Please let me know if anyone knows of a doctor who will prescribe Xanax the first time around.... Thanks and hopefully someone knows of doctor like that in San Diego.

I was prescribed klonopin and xanax from the same dr at the same visit. Some people depend on these medications granted they are addictive but they do help with my chronic headake and anxiety, but the key is moderation. Sure you will get addicted but do not let them give you the highest dose of the medicine. Taking the lowest dose possible to help your problem, and that's it do not keep increasing your dose.

Don't tell ur doc ur on methadone unless they do a urine test n then tell them it slipped ur mind. I'm on methadone and I thought being up front would be best. God was I wrong. They didn't want to give me anything addictive like I've been through tons of SSRI meds cause I have depression like so bad I don't leave my house, can't work, and have panic attacks really bad. They still don't give me anything that works. Like I was on Xanax before I started methadone and knew it works for me but now I can't even get it. I might go to another doc or just see if he eventually puts me on what I want cause nothing else is working. Just makes me feel sweaty, shaky n weirder, idk. I also live so close to Mexico I get my prescription down there, but the s***ty thing with that is insurance doesn't pay for it. Good luck. Just letting you know what I'm going through.

im in Fayetteville North Carolina I am recently trying to go cold turkey off of methadone one of the suggestions to help ease this process is Xanax I was prescribed it before I was on methadone? Is there any doctors that people know that prescribe Xanax in my area?
