Can taking naltrexone cause a false positive for oxycodone in a urine test?

No, no, no, you will have severe withdrawals! Naltrexone will push out the opioid from your system and you will end up clean from it, but it will be heavy. Be prepared if you decide to do this.

Yes. I had firsthand experience with this. Unfortunately in my case I had to spend two months in jail after 2 failed (pos for oxycodone) immunoassay urine tests. When (finally!) sent to a lab for GC/MS they came back clean. The first dirty was while I was taking 50mg oral naltrexone, the second ten days after I'd been given the vivitrol injection (325mg I believe).

I'm on naltrexone n I just tested positive for oxycodone. I had them send it to the lab. That should show I wasn't taking oxys right???

I was taking naltrexone for the days and then given the vivitrol shot. I did a urine screen today and it tested positive for oxycodone. I know a haven't used anything so I am having them send it into a lab. I'm more than annoyed to say the least. I could've faced jail time. Also I had to pay 25 dollars out of pocket to have the urine screen challenged

My son has had the Naltrexone implanted for 8 weeks and we just had him take a drug test and it came up positive for opiates. He is telling us that he hasn't taken any opiates. Has this ever happened to any of you? I worry because he could OD if he does.

I have had 3 tests come back finding hydrocodone in my system when I do not use! I do take Naltrexone 50mg a day for off label use. The Drs gave me a hard time questioning me why I had it in my system and I pleaded with them I had no idea why it showed up in the test. I'm so glad I found others with this same issue!

I believe so! I've had 3 tests come back positive and I do not use hydrocodone. I take 50mg Naltrexone off label use as well as other prescribed medications. Very frustrating trying to plead with Drs to try to get them to believe you when they believe the test.

So i just went to the probation office and tested positive for oxycodone and opiates. He told me he will send it to the lab and if it comes back I'm dirty im going to jail. I'm also on Naltrexone and have not touch any oxycodone "drug of choice" since 10/23/17. It's scary bc I just got out of rehab. So I'll do a long time in jail. But i know that I haven't touched anything. It's hard to plead my case when that is what my drug of choice is.
