Metoprolol Substitute Due To Ed Side Effect
UpdatedI'm taking Metoprolol (50mg) daily. I've experienced a noticeable measure of ED. I wasn't aware of this side effect when I started taking it. Is there another Beta blocker equally effective that does not cause any degree of ED?

I am afraid that this can be a potential side effect of almost all blood pressure medications, so there is no way to tell you that any one will not cause any degree of ED.
I recently had trouble with Metoprolol myself and my doctor recommended I switch to Carvedilol, it seems to cause less side effects and problems for people that have had trouble with Metoprolol.
It is also more powerful, so you usually require half the dose of it, that you did of the Metoprolol.

Have you tried asking your doctor about alternatives?
