How To Spot Fake Xanax Bars (Page 18)

I received my script from an M.D. at an online site. Noticed that this time on the tabs (2 mg white bars - xanax) that there were no numbers or letters imprinted on tablet. It is scored on both sides.

Yeah sounds like fake to me. But the best way to spot a fake is to taste it. Alprazalam (xanax) has a bitter taste so if it didn't taste bitter. Probably fake.

I just got some similar to what you have... they are a totally different shade of green, more dull-lime-yellow-greyish SPECKLED color, a harder compound (extremely hard to crush up in mouth). When you get them wet/dissolve they're a SUPER BRIGHT DARKER GREEN than a usual green S903 bar!?!? A normal *Legit* S903 xanax bar does get a slight bit darker when wet, BUT nothing compared to these things. I wish I could upload a pic to show the difference of what I'm talking about. I was super skeptical about taking them, but I couldn't resist trying them out. At 1st they don't taste like much but eventually the bitter taste kicks in. I have been prescribed Xanax for a LONG time 15+ yrs & I have seen every possible pill out there, never have I seen anything like this, EVER!! Now I'm a little concerned since I've already taken them... Anyone else know how to upload a photo? Or we can find another route to do so because I think we can figure this whole debate out very quickly if so, JS....

So I received 20 2mg Xanax last week that were not Xanax. They tasted like chalk. I was reassured how they were real and I didn't think much of it. I have never really seen counterfeit pills. Well I used to receive 2 90 pill 2mg Alprazolam prescriptions for years. I KNOW WHAT A XANAX TASTE LIKE. I don't know why i didn't think to chew one up but as soon as I did all the puzzle pieces fell together when it had no taste. Who knew though but be mindful, someone is producing fake GG249 white bars. I suggest you chew one up and taste before purchasing or just don't purchase. Reading about the Fentanyl laced ones is a bit scary. BTW, this happened in the biggest city in Arkansas.

Because of the Fentanyl alone isn't that a good reason to knock off taking the knock offs? These Pill Makers don't care about you or your health. Look at the hundreds who are dying with Fentanyl laced Heroin currently being sold?

Good ways to spot fake xanax is the taste. If its chalky and has little to no of the benzo taste then it's fake. Also the coating on the real ones have a slight shiny hue to them; the fake ones usually lack the shiny hue. Another way is the sound they make when you knock them together; the real ones will make a click clack sound and the fake ones will usually make little to no sound when you shake them. Also the weight, since fake pills are hand made each one will weigh slightly more or slightly less; a real one will be the exact same weight as all the others. Another thing one can do to know you have a real one is compare the size and shape of the one in question to find out which is real.

I got some bars one side says AL other side says G2. They look like the real deal but got no taste and don't work. I had 5 and felt nothing. My might had 1and felt it a tiny bit 3 hours later. What u guys think??

It's the people like that putting out fake pills that are ruining it for the people that really need them especially adding Fentanyl so that way someone can OD

Same, I received fake ones both with four closed and without. You can tell when u taste them and they dont desinegrate that they are indeed fake. Coming from india at 10 cents a pop people buy to rip u off. Even pharmacies have been known to get stuck with them here in north Florida.

Too true, that fentanyl is showing up in xanax's, vicodins, oxycodones, and straight opiates. It's such a shame. Going to be really hard now that it doesn't ONLY come from Mexico.

I also have been on Xanax for years. I recently got one or actually let's be honest a few and they are dark dark green and I noticed immediately something was wrong by the color and the smell and the texture, it was like chalk. Now looking it up on Wikipedia and putting in the numbers they matched as a Xanax but not the color. A lighter green is what I get normally from my pharmacist or yellow. These ones I got are green, you can smash them with your fingers and it has an awful smell, actually a different smell. I am telling all of you and please warning you all, I know someone who sells them and knows between fake and real and she told me a lot of people are duplicating it in the bay area and this is exactly where I got them from and no one knows what you're putting in your mouth. You could be eating rat poison for all you know and do we want to die over one stupid pill. I'm not going to pay somebody to take something and lose my life or get sick. Please everyone I pray for you and if you reply or need to talk to me I am totally open to talk to anybody. I've been through anything you could think of in life but this was my first time having this experience. I did not feel right, I fell out of my body. If it's not from the pharmacy and you have a funny feeling please go with your gut it's usually right.

I think I got the same ones but don't know how to post a pic. I don't want to take them. I felt the same way- out of body and sickly, this sucks! I don't have insurance and can't seem to find a stable reliable pharmacy errg!!

Yes in the bay area there are many fake bars, at least a 2 to 1 ratio. I found the green the yellow and the whites. So be very careful of what you take and if not you are taking your life in someone else's love for money hands. It's a form of being burnt but making you think they are real. They press them out with a older machine that pharmacist used years ago. Put whatever they want in them for the color, taste, and feeling. Which is just a tad of the Benzo and sleeping aid. So, be careful look and even if you have the time when your getting them filled look on your phone for the exact details of which one you have. Please people be careful, if they're not real flush them. But, money makes people do desperate things.

I can usually tell the difference between a fake and a legit one by biting it. The ones that I have gotten from the pharmacy chew easy and dissolve faster. The real ones do have a little shiney coat on them and the fake ones don't as others have mentioned. The fakes I have encountered are hard to chew and chalky at first with a bitter taste after a minute or so. I don't think that they're putting fentanyl in the fakes on the west coast from my experience. If they are, I don't feel it because I'm on suboxone, but I would certainly here it from other people. I will say that some of the fakes I've gotten have hit pretty hard and gave me benzo blackouts and benzo hangovers, so I'm assuming that there's still a benzo in them. Plus I'm physically dependent on diazepines unfortunately, and the fakes seem to keep me from getting ill. Lately the fakes that I've had were the ones that actually say Xanax with the 2 on the other side. The fake GG249's are easier to spot because you can basically bite them in half vertically since they're crudely pressed together top to bottom. By the way, the fakes that I've been talking about are in the LA/SoCal area just for reference. Lastly, I would encourage everyone to Google xanax pill press. You'll see a picture of a GG249 one on the first page of results. Any Joe Blow can get one of these suckers and put whatever the hell he wants in the pressed product. That's a scary thought.
