How Long Does Klonopin Stay In Your System (Page 13)

I took 6 mg of klonopin on friday, how long before it's out of my system. I weigh 230lbs.

I had the same problem with marijuana many years ago. It stays in your fatty tissues for at least a month. When I got a new job and I was very surprised that I had to take a drug test (they were new back in those days), I lied and told them my mother died and I had to postpone my new job. Then I spent every day in a sauna to help get rid of it. Thankfully, I passed, tho a sauna will do no good for benzos. Shame on me!!!!!!

Thank you for your info. Luckily I ran into my Dr at Safeway and explained the whole thing. She said she wasn't sure if the company would even pay out for the screening of the levels, they would probably just check what was in my system. Cross my fingers. But we will go from when we get the test results.

Hi:

I bet your doctor is right. At least you came clean with her. I think they mostly check for opiates, pot and meth. Nobody seems to know about benzos except us, so why should your job know about them? But they might check for barbiturates, tho. xxxxxx

They check for Benzos, methamphetamine, marijuana, cocaine, lsd, pcp, mdma (molly). But from friday to monday is not enough time to go by for most drugs. Oxy, perc, vic, as an example are 3 days. All others a lot longer. With 1 time use of mj, it will be out within 2-3 weeks. Prolonged use, is where its in fatty tissue n blood. Can take months. However, its in your hair the longest, as well as coke an harder drugs. They can see by the length of ones hair. The most recent being at the roots, and years, by the hair ends. Hope this helped. Yea, I forgot to mention Cocaine or PCP, I'm sure they check for Coke. But I thought PCP went the way of leisure suits. lol.

Thank you everyone. So I got a voicemail last night saying that my job got the test results back........and "they would like me back to work." So I go back on my next scheduled day, but of course I'm still thinking whether or not they are just bringing me in to tell me the results. I can't just be positive, however I'm pretty sure when I got hired I gave a list of medications that I was taking and that got sent to our home office.

The way it works is that I take the test, the results go to our home office, then the store contacts me. So maybe I'm good, and my Dr was right about them checking for levels, or maybe there is more to this.....

I guess I'll find out Monday. Thank you again for all your replies.

I have a question. I took 2mg of klonapin on Friday and 2mg Saturday morning. I was drug tested Tuesday at 430..I have not used benzos for eight months prior to this. I relapsed. I am 200lbs. They test for everything at this place. Do you think I am safe? I am scared to death because I have so much to lose. I hate being an addict. I had years clean and took those darn pills grrrr I am back on the wagon. I am on penicillin, can I act as if it was that that caused a false positive maybe?

If they say they want you to come back to work, then I think you are safe. Otherwise, they wouldn't want to see you, just tell you over the phone. Sometimes people don't test for a drug like benzos. The prefer to test you for street drugs. And I doubt using an antibiotic would help at all. They don't test for those....They would consider it to be a laughable excuse....

They are not concerned with the levels. I get drug tested all the time, weekly for the most part, and they never care about the levels, its the fact that if its in my system and I have a script for it, that's all they care about. You are going to be fine. I had a friend who took extra pain meds and was worried at her pain dr. Well, they only cared it was in her system, more then a trace amount. The lab has nothing to compare it to in your case...everyones body type, absorption rate, etc, is different. You are going to be fine with takin extra benzos.

I have been on klonopin for 10 years. I started at .5 and am now at 1mg.
My doctor tells me to take 4 pills daily. Can I take 1 every 4 hours. I really
need it I have acute anxiety

No sweetie, it wont. It takes up to 6 weeks. I took 1 klonopin 1sr n only time. Had pain mgmt n a urine test 3 weeks later.... Came back positive. Dr said it can take 6 weeks to fully get out of system. Hope it helps n im sorry u wont pass

I took 4mg of klonapin over a 2 day period, Friday and Saturday...had a drug test Tuesday and failed..I am 215lbs, female. I had another drug test the following Tuesday and it was clean, so for me, it was out of my system in 10 days but not after 80 hours. Everyone's metabolism is different. Did you end up passing the test?

Hi:

Yes, you can take kpin four times a day. I did so and it worked out fine for my acute anxiety and insomnia. But in hindsight, it was a very bad idea as kpin can give you quick tolerance and you have to constantly up your dose. 4 mg is a high dose. I started out on 2 mg and ended up on 10 mg in the end. Now I'm in the slow process of tapering off it using The Manual, so I did a partial C/O to Valium. Kpin in the worst benzo out there because it binds very tightly to your neurotransmitters so it takes you a very long time to heal. There are other non addictive drug out there that can help with your anxiety. You are not supposed to take a benzo for any longer than 3-4 weeks. Getting off kpin is worse than getting off heroin. It is that painful for many, tho some are lucky and can get off it will little or no trouble.

If I've been taking klonopins for about a week now, would that hot tea detox stuff you drink...would it get the klonopins out of your system faster?

I have never heard of a hot detox drink. As far as I know, nothing helps but time and sleep.

I was tested this Tuesday for drugs in order for me to get pain pills for my foot I came up dirty for weed and I take Ativan for my heart palps. The doc took me off benzo and said no more smoking until next Tuesday so I can see levels drop but I roll 4mg of Klonopin yesterday will it be out of my system by Tuesday coming up?

I failed the test, however, I was completely honest..though it wasn't for work, it was for a place that had tons of control over my life (a clinic). I have since detoxed off methadone and went to suboxone and no longer go to that clinic. However, since I was clean and honest, everything was fine and they honored my honesty. I was put on a contract, what a joke. I am so grateful I don't go there anymore. The sub doctor put me on klonapin for my first month for the switch lol so I ended up being prescribed the drug that they throw you out for it you test positive twice...crazy. I didn't get thrown out, I did a voluntary detox...best thing I did thus far. THe next best thing will be to be off the subs too. Thank you all for your input. I failed after taking 4mg over two days..the test was 80 hours later, I flushed, it didn't work. I was clean on day 10...I am 205, 5'5", female, slow metabolism.
