Not always! I was admitted after going to the ER as recommended by my physician. I had a knee injury-after a car accident that got infected & required w few days of IV antibiotics. It was the same hospital (Trauma Unit) I was brought to after the accident & that time they gave me my methadone no problem. I went there this time b/c I figured they had my records & wasn't an issue b4. I went to the ER on a Friday, after being admitted the Doctor I was assigned refused to prescribe it fir me. This went on for 3 days, (it was a holiday week-end), the nurse actually told my husband to bring mine from home-I had take homes-but I was due back to clinic on Tuesday. When Monday came, I still could not get them to change my Doctor, & I knew if I missed my day at the clinic I had to prove why & where I got my medication. I ended up having to leave the hospital AMA that Monday night so I could be at the clinic that Tuesday. It was a nightmare! I ended up having to get surgery on that knee, I made sure to make prior arrangements for that hospital stay!

Hi from person experience you have to be sick then take the sub and trust me you will not be sick anymore. Me personally I did the suboxone treatment I'm on 85mil.of methadone because of the pill use I was on I needed that for the craving and also it helps with my alcohol use. Hope this helps you and bring the New Year in right like myself. I'm new and clean also for about 5months.

You will test positive for the methadone not the other! Methadone stays in ur system for a long time

I have severe spinal stenosis, final stages of RA, Lupus and other high pain stress health issues, my pain doc has cut my med in half, oxy 15 er 2x a day and 4 10 ml perc, I am in bed every few hours In horrid pain.
I tried some H last week 2 bumps am and pm and no pain.
I didn't take any pain meds. I am not able to be helped surgically, for most issues, and end up hospitalized for infection everything
Is seeming to fall apart with new script laws as I have been on oxy er and 10 ml perc for 14 years, just 2x the dose.
I am thinking of getting H to give me some relief, I just don't want to test dirty.
Exactly how do I manage that successfully going forward.
I have never increased my meds in 14 years and kept stable, the last 3 months have been horrible. I don't want to mess up my life just have a quality going forward.
Any recommendations for me please.

Yes you can. They say to wait until you are in withdrawals but I've taken 3n it about 8 hours after my last use and been fine. But i have taken in the last and i onlybused for2 days after ten days on suboxone. It really is a miracle for people who detox. But make sure you give it a chance to work. It is then only way i stay clean and didn't get sick detoxing.

I was a regular H user for several months and I got clean for 10 days thanks to suboxone. I relapsed for 3 days busing about 1 to 2 points a day. I used Sunday around 3pm and had to UA Wednesday at 130pm. I drank a lot of water and sat in a sauna for 3 days and took about 2mg of suboxone. I also exercised the day of the UA. I am not sure if that effected it or not but i peed clean. I am 5'7 159lbs and have an OK metabolism. Hope that helps. However everyonebis different and I hear the naloxone helps kick it our faster too

I've to give urine tomorrow to get into a detox center.if its not clean of heroin they will refuse me.it is usually out on the 4th day for mist people.depending on amount and the strength if the gear.try drinking bread soda. Its not pleasant but if u drink enough of it.you will rush to the toilet. It will come out of both ends I done this a few years ago and it cleared me out in a day.its a horrible experience though. If its not a bad experience then your not drinking enough of it.you should literally be running to the toilet 5mins after drinking it.I would only advise this if there was no other way..

I am on 55mg methadone, have been on it for over 6yrs. I use very occasionally. I'm 5'1, weigh about 62kilos. Maybe it's because of my height or maybe slow metabolism cause of the methadone. But if I use only once in a fortnight, half a gram, my urines dirty 10 days later.

Methadone is horrible to come off of because it gets in to your bones. It should be only used for short term use. I knew someone who was regularly taking it for years and he said it took him a whole year to feel "normal" again, hardly sleeping, his whole body hurting, the withdrawal was worse than anything hes ever done before. Methadone is horrible to be dependant On! :-\
