Citalopram, the active ingredient in Celexa, is a SSRI antidepressant.
Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and sexual dysfunction.
As to taking it after pregnancy, the concern there only arises if you are breast feeding, it is excreted in breast milk and side effects have been observed in infants whose mothers were taking it.
