Ever since wellcare stopped paying for the films my life has been one fight against staying sober after another. When I was on the films I did a lot better. Now that I'm on the zuhsolv it is not helping. It don't last as long and I don't care what the doctors say, its not as strong. My doctor is tapering me too and I've been asking myself lately if its even worth it. I've been having thoughts about going back to my old habits and I don't want that but I'm getting sick from withdraw before its time to take another zubsolv. I didn't have this problem with the films but now I do. I only want to stay clean and sober and be well from my addictions but I'm not going to be able too with these things. When I was taking the films I've had two years of clean drug panels but not now since I've been on zubsolv.

I switched to Zubsolv after the Subs started making my teeth so sensitive I couldn't wear my retainer and I was getting killer headaches. It has worked for me and I appreciate my doc suggesting the switch. Unfortunately, the price is still outrageous but its better than trying to self medicate and risk my freedom buying through other means.

Hey Ashley,
I've been off the subsoils for 6 weeks now. In Jan I was taking 2 5.7/1.4 per day. Eventually weened to splitting 1 and taking 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 at lunch.
I then went to 1/2 in the am for 2 months.
I still get a craving once in a while, but I'm over it. When it gets strong I hit on a joint for a few hits and I'm good. Usually just in the evening.
I'm a Sr Mgr at a large company, and did a lot of things in the 70's and 80's, and nobody was on to me as I went through the last year. I feel pretty good that I'm clean now.
But I'm pretty sure

They just approved a 8.6 and 11.4 dose this March and I am going to ask to be moved up to the 8.6 as the 5.7 dose seems to be not working quite as well after 6 months. I believe you have to be on less than 3 pills a day to get these though. I will post after I speak to my doc tomorrow.

I hope your problems have worked out. Only people with this disease do understand one another. We are not all at the same place either. I have never understood that about TN. I hope you are still holding on.

Been on the zubsolv for a few days and it sucks it is not the same at all and I think all of the ones that are replying that it does are getting paid to say that it does this stuff sucks I have been having withdrawal symptoms from taking this I'm changing back to suboxone. Don't recommend that any one use this product.

I just was switched from subutex to zubsolv. Just got my first script as of today. Took my first dose this morning and felt nothing but my tongue burning from the menthol. Now afternoon just had to take another dose. Hopefully will feel something...will update. Thinking about being switched to suboxone strips. Also if anyone knows how to use this coupon correctly on how to get my medicine cheaper please explain. I paid $160 for 28 a 2week supply.

I was just recently switched from my Subutex because of the new law that passed...at first I was put on Bunavail films which I couldn't take and now switched to Zubsolv...which again, I can not take. I am highly allergic to naloxone and yet Dr. Still doesn't want to write me my Subutex....i strongly feel if they take Subutex from us that pharmaceutical companies need to come up with a product that we can take that doesn't contain naloxone in it and that's similar to subutex. I will say I love the pill form best because it dissolves very fast and it helps within 10 min tops. I hate that I can't take any of these products but I've never been able to and feel its extremely wrong the government tell us what we can and can't have, I mean, if ur allergic ur allergic. I will say my husband takes Zubsolv and loves it though...doesnt last as long though, that's his only complaint

Zubsolv gives you really bad case of dry mouth after a month taking them so to me it seems like sometimes it might take about 10 minutes to dissolve but other then that they work wonderful...

That's a hell of a change . I would up the Zubsolv dosage before going to Suboxone though. Subs seem super dirty to me compared to Zubsolv.
Neither of these will ever compare to how you felt on methadone though. FYI.

That is quite an assumption. Paid to say it works huh? Doubtful. I would like to say that I pay for my meds and they don't pay me to say they work. So for all the ppl out there who want to nod out legally, go to the methadone clinic. Or take 2 suboxone strips a day. For those of us who want to be able to function and be productive stick to the Zubsolv. I think there is a distinct difference in the ppl who want to stay f***ed up and those who want to deal w addiction and still deal w life. You sir are obv the first. Call it like I see it. Don't get offended. You said the ppl who are posting positive things about Zubsolv are being paid, so, you don't have room to get b****y about it. Have a nice day!

When you got switched to the 8.3 mg Zubsolv did your doc say anything about diff licensing for him to be able to prescribe it?

Can you please share that info? Like what coupon and what insurance you have? I have run into many dead ends when it comes to insurance covering anything for addiction. Thanks so much. Also are you on Zubsolv?

I was on three 8mg subs for about 6 months then when my Dr appt came they switched me to Zubsolv. Three 5.7mg per day. I went through HELL for a good 20 days. I have independent health and they said I have NO choice. I go to weekly meetings and talk to alot of people about this and every single one tells me the same thing. "A 8mg sub is WAY stronger than a 5.7 zub and Zub doesn't last nearly as long".. I 100% agree. I could take 2 8mg sub at 8am then forget my nightly pill and the next day at 2pm say "O S*** I forgot to take my subs". Now with zub if I forget my nightly pill uI feel s***ty by 8am. I take 2am 1pm. If u have an option then my recommendation is stay on sub.. The one advantage is that Orexo (maker of Zubsolv) will pay $225 toward your script. If you have no insurance its huge also if you have insurance and for example a $100 copay it will 100% cover copay. And "no tablet minimum" "no limit on number of monthly uses".. Just ask your Dr for one. Or call orexo and they'll send you one.. Stay sober!!

I completely understand your dilemma. When I started sub's 2 years ago I started with 16mg. It worked for me but my son who was started on 16mg. too experienced withdrawals as you describe. The doc. added 4 more mg for him. If you have a good doctor he'll be educated specifically for suboxone in order to write scripts and knows what to look for in his patients. Explain to him exactly how you posted here and I'll bet he understands. Make sure all your future drug panels are clean. If it turns out that he's an ass find a new doc. After all they are getting paid a lot.
