White Round Pill < F >
(Newest replies first)
Updated
Identify a pill found in our home - help please. We have a teenage son and recently found a white, circular pill on the floor which has the "F" marking on it (including the brackets). We have tried the usual ID sites but cannot find it anywhere. Obviously we are concerned as to what it is.

I know this is very old now. Did you ever find out what pill had the < F > on it? I have found one and it is bugging me so much!
Re: Dave (# 7)
Do you smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol? Are you around dust or chemicals on a daily basis? If antibiotics didn't help then your condition is probably not being caused by bacteria. How long have you been taking the allergy medications for? A couple other possible causes might be some underlying conditions such as pneumonia or tuberculosis. Has your doctor given you an x-ray or taken any tissue samples? It sounds like your doctor is trying one thing after another, so depending how long you have been trying the allergy medications, you might want to bring it to their attention. I say do not hesitate to get more medical treatment or seek out a second opinion, especially if you have been dealing with this for a while. Best wishes!
Re: Dave (# 7)
The only thing I can rationally suggest is perhaps consulting a different doctor.
I live in Bangalore. I have bee suffering from prolonged pharyngitis and laringitise. So far I have take five courses of antibiotics no results. Doctor says this could be due to certain allergy. However, the medicine for allergy also had very little effect. I am not sure on the further course of action. I would welcome your suggestions on this.
The medicines so far I have taken are:
chymoral forte
Ciplox - TZ
Tab Torrox AP
Tab Riconia
Tab Metrogyl
Tab Orthobid Plus
Cepodem
Sedosolvin
Bro-zedex - cough syrup
Tantum orel rinse
Tab Alallegra 120 mg
Top gem / Jemone 320 mg
zecuf cough syrup
Top gem / Jemone 320 mg
Chymoral Plus
Wikoryl
Beplex Forte
I cannot find any listing for this anywhere. The US is really the only country that requires all their prescription drugs to have unique imprints to enable their identification, so you will not find these comprehensive databases for other countries.
There is nowhere that I know that requires it for OTC products, so we might be completely out of luck.
Sheesh ... no luck yet. I don't know if the U.K. keeps as extensive of a drug index as the FDA does here in the USA ... but if it's not appearing under any standard drug references that may also indicate that it's an over the counter product. Don't quote me on that however. If any other details emerge, please post back!
Yes, we are in the UK. The pill does not look 'illegally' manufactured as some illicit drugs do, and it is about the same size as a 75mg dispersable aspirin (which i nearly mistook it for, as i take these for a heart condition!). I hope this helps.
I checked several databases and cannot find an identification for this, either.
Does anyone have any information on what this is?
This one has been a challenge to find so far. Unfortunately I can't provide a definite ID at this point, but some research revealed that it is most likely from the UK. Is that where you are located? Any other clues which you can post? Please let us all know if you have any other information.
Sorry, the post above was missing the critical info, the marking type. The marking is an F enclosed in greater than/less than brackets,
