My mother is taking AKT-4 tablets from 1 month but as soon as she takes the tablet she is vomiting. could any one can give me the alternative medicines for this problem

Ethambutol is used to treat Tuberculosis, as is the Isoniazid.

Some side effects may include: Optic Neuritis, nausea, hepatitis and skin rash.

As to what else she can use, this site is not medical professionals, has she consulted her doctor about this problem?

They may be able to suggest something to help with the nausea and vomiting.

I am a vegetarian and I am taking AKT-4 and I am feeling weak. I can be non veg if it is so recommended. What is your suggestion.

i m being sugestd akt4 for tb .is there any ayurvedic medicine which do not produce side effects.i m afraid because i m very weak.the result was 260 u/l.my weight is 39 which is underweigt acordng to my height i,e 5.2

i m bitty 45 yers old n suffering from bone tb . i took akt-4 for 40 days then i hv to stop medicines for 20 days because i ws diagnosed jaundice . i hv restarted taking akt-4 fr last week n i m feeling vomiting sensations n i m nt able to eat m regular diet i m taking b-long n udiliv also

No, u cannot confirm ,u have a TB based on mantaux test. the TB can be confirmed only after detailed analysis of all ur tests.

I am daisy i have been operated for lymphadnitis
so is akt-4 medicine very harmful and how many months it should be taken will i have hairfall i have not been diagnosis tuberculos.

Hi daisy,
dont be afraid of any side effects of these medecines.. as per dr.& information i read ,this medicine has no permanent side effects.I am suffering from mediastinal lymphanedopathy & have been taking this drug for 5 months.Also, consult your doctor immediately If at all you feel adverse effects..
i just Increased my diet & following medicines so i am not suffering from any side effects..Day by day , i am feeling better & I am recovering well :-).

Does Akurit 4 causes fever? I was having a an ongoing fever for over 2 months and none of the doctors suspected it was tb. Finally it was diagnosed as abdominal tb and I was put on medication. The fever went away for 10 days and now it's back. Could it be the medicine that's causing the remittent fever or something else? I m getting exasperated

Mujhe approx 1 year se khansi h Maine boht dvaai khai but koi result Ni mila .maine aj digital x-ray kraya Tha for 'chest pa erect for lungs' usme sb clear h but 'the hilar shadows are prominent and show calcified spots' iske liye mere doctor ne akt-4 tab diya h kya ye shi h.....i m confused

i hve being hvng Akt4 for 3 n half months.....At earlier months i was hvng a side effects of high uric acid which cause my joint pain so much n now im hvng a skin rash ....Is it Normal?
