Dear Mr. Sharma,

I had posted the same question here months back but nobody came forward with any answers. I find more and more questions coming up here and very few answers which pose questions about the very usefulness of this window.

Here is what I could gather about Valparin Plain & Valparin Chrono. There is no difference between the two in their effectiveness. Both release Valproate ions (V-), which is the active ingredient, when it hits the water in the stomach. Only that Chrono is long acting/ controlled release, which makes it perhaps a better choice over Plain, if you accidentally missed out a dose. The side effects are more or less the same, depending on the patient.

But I have to tell you that I am no medical expert. The above information is what I could gather from various sources. You may consult a competent medical authority for confirmation if you so wish.

hi doctor i got 4 attacks of unconsciousness on early morning near 6 to 7 so my doctor take me the medicine valparinchrono300mg doctor told me that its dipration attack now my chechup is going from J&K now my question is that when this medicine is stopped and i want for which problem this medicine is used

Now I am taking Valparin 700 at night and 200 in the morning, it was started from valparing 200 then increased dose due to seizure. Any side effets for this medicine?.

I am 25 yrs Old. I was having the problem of Unconsciousness and I am taking the medicine from last 9 years.
after 2years of starting the medicine (VALPARIN CHRONO 200 mg) the problem is stop.
my doctor suggested me to take the medicine continuous till 5 yrs than stop if there is not again problem of Unconsciousness.
than i went to doctor before 2yrs for check up and he told to stop the medicine.
But my mother didnt allowed me stop the medicine.
now also i am taking the medicine but day by day i am loosing my weight and becoming weak.
i this because of this medicine should i stop this. If yes how i reduce or stop.

My daughter is pregnant and she is being advised to use Valparin Chrono as she has the problem of epillapsy. As she become pregnant Please let me know there will be any side effects on babay?
