Time To Take The Pill

Updated

I just started taking birth control for the first time, I want to change the time I take the pill at. How do I do this without risking anything? Right now I take it at 12 pm and I have been consecutive for 8 days (just finished week 1 of my first pack), I want to change the time to say.... 9 am.. how do I go about this?

So, instead of at lunch, you want to take it a few hours earlier?

That's close enough that you can do that and it won't make a difference, just take it earlier one day.

Feel free to double check with your doctor, but there really should be no problem, at all.

Are there any other questions?

Just one more question, yes, my doctor told me that I Should be protected after one week of taking lo lestrin fe. My question is, say I took the 10th pill (or the 3rd pill on week 2 of my first pack) and had unprotected sex. Do I have anything to worry about? Thank you

I've been on Lo loestrin for almost 2 years. I started a new pack last week (after being off for a couple weeks). On Saturday, I took my pill about 7 hours earlier than usual. That night I had unprotected sex. I forgot to take my pill Sunday night, but took it yesterday when I remembered and then my normal one. Would I have still been protected Saturday?
