Tested Positive For Opiates But Clean For 45+ Days

Drug tested thru court for heroine/opiates, have been clean for 45+ days with exception of prescribed meds from PCP which have been done with for a while. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! I have not used! Tried to figure out everything I ate, a lot of cereal, pizza, LEMON POPPY SEED MUFFINS, a lot of hard candy, coffee, a lot of sugar. This positive test could send me away but I really am clean. Any idea what could cause it????

Hi Chrissy,

If you're not taking any sort of OTC or prescription medications, I don't see how or why a positive result could've shown up for heroin & opiates of all things.
What type of test was it that they had you take? If it was a hair strand test, this is the only logical explanation I have for them being able to determine that even you took anything at all within that time frame.

Also, what prescription drugs were you taking at the time? Although it's unlikely, there are some random medications that can bring about a false positive for heroin or opiates.

After being on opiates (30 mg.) For 4 years nd very over abused prolly 6-10 whole pills a day nd jus recently went thru hell from withdrawling been off for 6 days today but been taking maybe 2 mg of suboxen strips for four days now but am being court ordered to do a hair test is Der n e chance I would pass da test or not a chance, I'm a male 165 lb but been taking milk thistle for liver cleansing nd ltyrosine to connect my endorphine receptors back to normal, would n e of tht help with da hair test. I need an honest answer. Nd soon plz, n e 1?

I had a hair strand test it said I had a very low dose of heroin in it I have not done heroin is there any thing else I could of taken that has shown up as heroin do worried x
