Suboxone Blocking Dose
UpdatedThe naltrexone in the suboxone does not do anything. It is in there to prevent a user from injecting the suboxone. That is the only way it will have any effect. When you put the suboxone under your tongue the buprenorphine is absorbed, not the naltrexone. The buprenorphine is what blocks other opiates (this is due for its high affinity for the mu opiate receptor.) If you are on a low dose of suboxone (4mg or less) then expect it to block at least partially for 24 hours. I never post but I use these forums to educate myself. I hate reading clearly false posts. Another user that mentioned that the naltrexone blocks for 72 hours has no idea what they are talking about.
