Starting The Pill
UpdatedSo I just got this birth control to start after not being on anything for about 10 yrs. I know you should wait until the first day of your period to start, but can I just start taking it without having to actually start my period? And if so will it become effective immediately?

Hello, Crystal! How are you?
You can start it at any time, but it will take 7 days, before it becomes effective, so you'd need to use a back up form of contraception, until the 8th day.
Is there anything else I can help with?
