Sprintec First Time Break Through Bleeding?

I have been on sprintec since early January of this year. I have always been consistant of taking my pills daily and never had a problem with them. I am also very healthy non smoking about to be 25. I was recently promoted on Friday and with all the excitement I forgot to take my birth control pill, which was active pill week 2. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend that night and following morning. The next day I started my new job and forgot to take the following pill exactly on time so took the day before and the current day about 2 hours after my regular time. I started to have a light period on Saturday and has still continued today Monday. Is this a sign of being pregnant? Or something wrong? I have been under a great deal of stress and my excersise routine has been extreme. Also I did drink some alchol over the weekend which I rarely do. I'm nervous! I am also unable to get to the doctor for another full week.

So you missed a pill and then took it late?

That likely explains it right there. It throws off the hormonal balance in your body and may cause breakthrough bleeding.

By all means, you should consult your doctor to be sure and you may want to do a pregnancy test, but it is most likely just due to missing a pill, then doubling up.

How heavy is the bleeding?

It's very light but consistant, I have read over and over the details. And it does mention break through bleeding but they said in the first 3 months is more common. I have never had a problem before now but I have never missed a pill. I will consult my doctor, thank you very much for your input. I am such a worry wart, and I am the only female I know on birth control.

I've been on Sprintec for about 3 years now and have never had any problems. I have had some brownish and sometimes bloody discharge. Sometimes it seems like I'm on my period. This started on Friday exactly a week before my period is supposed to start. This has never happened so I'm just a little worried. Could it be breakthrough bleeding?

Hi i started using d 1st pack of trigestrel pills early january n i ddnt gt ma period 4 d whole month n on d 3rd of february while i ws on d 5th red pill my periods appeared n they were heavy on such a wae dat i stopped taking d last 2 red pills on a wknd n started a new pack after 2 daes..
