Side Effects Of Stamlo 5

My mother is 56, and she was diagnosed with hypertension 5 years back. Since then, she has been taking stamlo 5 and stamlo 2.5, each once a day. I would like to know the side effects of this drug,( if any) short term and long term.

my wife has been taking stamlo 5 mg for one month. she has swelling of feet and ankles and face.also dizziness and more frequent urination age 65.is it the side effect of the medicine.

Swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs, are all reported to be a common side effects of Stamlo (Amlodipine).

Other side effects can include, but are not limited to the following:

headache
upset stomach
stomach pain
dizziness or lightheadedness
drowsiness
excessive tiredness
flushing (feeling of warmth)
more frequent or more severe chest pain
rapid, pounding, or irregular heartbeat
fainting

I haven't found any specific details stating that amlodipine has contraindications against users with kidney or liver problems, so "in my opinion" it should be fine to take. Have you consulted a doctor about your kidney and liver condition?
