Refilling My Valid Xanax Prescription Early (Page 22)

I only see one doctor and he gives me a 3 month supply of xanax. When I went the last time he wrote me out a prescription but I still had two refills. I had a friend and her husband passed away and I gave her some of mine thinking I would have no problem re-filling the prescription. I had sense enough not to go to the same pharmacy and not to give my insurance information. So I go to this small drug store by my house and I had to fill out paperwork such as dob, name and my DL #. Well they paged me to the front of the store and advised me that it was 7 days to early for them to re-fill. So my question is where can I go to re-fill a prescription that is valid written by the same doctor. I only tried one place, I'm guessing they must have a data base if you try and refill your prescription early (even without your insurance) does anyone have advice on where I can go to get this filled?

Pain medication. It helped that he knew of my one time rage issue and since we reside in the same condominium complex well..... You get the idea!? Upon return from his lunch hour he approved that early fill in an astonishingly expeditious manner. Sometimes you have to be willing to take action by any means especially when the safety of a loved one is at stake. This was not my proudest moment but in jersey a reputation can proceed you for better or worse. I used it to foster a better understanding between myself and the pharmacy tech. If you know what I mean...

Great advice. Also hard to believe, nay, impossible to believe. Enough information on hand at the pharmacy to find you and have you arrested for assault. As if the pharmacist isn't going to report the assault immediately. Your mother on her deathbed or something similar you say? What is a Xanax going to do and why not have the prescription transferred to a Walgreens, etc., and why not call the doctor. A myriad of solutions contrary to physical violence. Sorry, I don't believe a word of it but still, to propose that advice to anyone who might be desperate enough to think it could work is reason enough that your comment should have been rejected. For that, I fault the website.

15mg of Fentanyl for 15 years? You do realize that's more potent than heroin so it's hard to believe that throughout 15 years the same dose is having any effect on you, whether as a euphoric stimuli or a pain reliever. In answer to your question, picture this. You're hooked on heroin for 15 years. Do you think it would have some effect on your body "in the future?" Dude, you'd be rail thin and undernourished right now, at the very, very least. I wouldn't bank too much on the future.

That's a good one. I didn't read the "death penalty" comment, but good god it's not a capital offense. I'm no lawyer but I think the DP is for capital offenses only and rarely used then.

He/She actually does know what they're talking about. Every single thing they said is why I get Medicare/Medicaid and Extra Help. I get Food Stamps. Food Stamps alone will not get you Medicare/Medicaid or anything other than food stamps. It's all about being retired, disabled, and the amount of help is absolutely based on income and income only after qualifying for one of the earlier conditions. I am disabled and 60, the disability allows me the Medicare, but you have to be disabled for 2 years before you are Medicare eligible as opposed to being 65 or older. My income is what qualifies me for Medicaid and Extra Help. The only thing incorrect about the response was that depending on the amount of Extra Help one receives determines the amount they will pay for their medication. I pay basically the amounts mentioned until I reach the "catastrophic" point which is when the drug cost, not out of pocket, reaches just under $5,000. For me, that happens in March. At that point, I pay $0 for every medication including brand if it is not offered in generic form.

Just because you don't have the stones to stand up and be counted doesn't mean others won't. FYI the gentleman said 50 mg. not 15 mg. I guess your regimen of ADD meds need refilling lol get a life and work like most men dO. All you do is whine like some impotent little girl about not getting enough entitlement benefits.

I don't know what your problem is but 50 mg is going to have an even worse debilitating effect on one's body. Now, if you take the time to actually read my comments you will see that I am providing information, not complaining. To the contrary, I, a person without anger issues, am quite happy with my life. You, OTOH, sound like a very angry person. And just one more thing. It sounds very likely that you have never met a person with a disability so I can only guess who you voted for, but it was determined by doctors that the state, not that you, are made to see in order to be determined disabled or not. Stop wasting your time posting before knowing what it is you're posting about and you might learn something. I'm not keeping my fingers crossed, though. Good luck and I hope you have a happy life and I mean that in all honesty. Damn, what a great feeling not to be a d****.

Thank you. I hate when the pharmacy tries that nonsense when its not illegal or going against anything. Its up to the pharmacist' if they do it and That's just bull especially when they didn't write the script. I would go back to the other pharmacy from before or take it elsewhere at very least.

The fact that your doctor gave you a new prescription doesn't mean a thing, unless he raised the dosage. Let's say you were taking 5mg of Valium twice a day and he agreed you should take 3 a day. Then the pharmacy would void the current prescription meaning any remaining refills on the twice a day are now non-existent. Or, if he raised the dose to 10mg twice a day, same thing. BUT, if it's just another prescription for the same amount/same dosage, you still have to wait for the at best 3 days ahead of refill date. It is a pharmacist's final say on whether they refill early or not because it is YOUR responsibility to take as prescribed and you wouldn't run out.

Now, I'm not preaching. I've had, and often, refills done early but I've never found a pharmacy that would do any refill more than 3 days early. It doesn't matter what pharmacy you go to, any knows when the last date you had it filled was. Maybe there is some mom and pop drugstore still in existence that MIGHT not have the registry that all the Wallgreens, CVS's, etc., have. A lot of the few that are left do have access to the registry. Aside from the fact that you kind of sunk yourself by giving some away, illegal but I and I think I speak for many, have done it what I do is when I see I'm not going to make it to the 3 day refill time, I take 2 Xanax instead of 3, or take a 1/2 3 times a day.

I have got mine a week early before at a small place they said you had it filled on the 9th it was only tge 31st of the same month they filled it on the next day on the 1st.

Missy, Xanax and other benzos are a Schedule IV. That means they can be called in and have up to five refills written on one prescription.
