I would like to know of any side effects others may have experienced after receiving Prolia infusions. Up to now I have none.

Prolia only stays in the system for 6 months, hence, getting the shot every 6 months. My son has been on bisphonates since he was in the trial study when he was 9 , he is 30 now. He was put on IV Pamidronate as an experimental drug, if it hadn't been for this drug he would have never been able to walk. He has never had any side effects, likely, never have I having been on the Prolia. No one shoves the shot into your arm, you take it willingly, maybe try reading, a lot of reading up, on the drugs before you take them. Everyone seems to be suit happy anymore. I am surprised that drug companies even want to develop anything to help anyone.

Lola, if you are still on here, you may want to try the super concentrated whey capsules that are supposed to help improve the immune system. From all that I have read, it is something our immune system needs daily to get it going well. I've just started on a bottle of 30 so I don't know for sure yet but anything in this world that will help the immune system I will use. I ordered them from a company on Amazon. The human body is unable to store protein and whey is a super protein. I don't know if Prolia will delete it as fast as I take it but I have zero to lose and everything to gain. I cannot go to a grocery store without getting very, very ill for days on end with severe diarrhea. It does not matter how much alcohol I put on my hands or cart. It's just in the air. Also, if you live in a large city, you may have a MD that works with people with HIV-AIDS and can get plasma transfusions which contain the B and T cells we need so desperately. We don't have one where I live. I believe they are called "immunologists'. The Prolia should be pretty well out of your body now so it possibly could really help you. If we had one, I would be in their office yesterday! Besides all the pain and problems with Prolia, we are almost like the HIV-AIDS people who have zero immune system and MDs can help them so why not us.

Canadian~Prolia does not cause melanoma. Melanoma is a very deadly form of skin cancer and a person usually lasts 1-2 months at the most with chemotherapy. Prolia causes basal cell carcinoma which needs to be looked at and taken care of but it's not going to kill you in a month or two. There is a very HUGE difference between these two types of skin cancer. I hope this helps your worrying. Be well~Pood

I asked more than 2 years ago about a class action lawsuit. I was writing on behalf of my sister who lives in Canada. I have been watching this site ever since and it appears to have become your personal chat room. If you really want people to participate in a class action law suite then it is the law firm we should be in contact with and not YOU. Clearly this is the reason you have had so few respond.

Pood, I am sorry you responded with such hostility. I live in the U.S., my sister lives in Canada and she is the victim. This should have answered most of your hostile comments. I drove from S. Fl. to Toronto about a year ago and spent 5 weeks helping her after her hospital discharge with a sever blood infection. Her immune system is virtually non existent. She has or has had almost all the negative side effects - her weight ranges from 75 - 80 lbs. with most of her internal organs burnt including a Pancreatic breakdown........ It is past 2 years since her 4th shot of Prolia. My message was not intended to create hostility but to possibly shed some light on your poor response to the law suit. Thanks, Rick

I received the same advice after having so much pain with fosamax then Bonita. Doctors told me prolia will not give me the terrible heartburn and bone aches I was getting from them once a week, then once a month. I took 2 shots of prolia before I wised up thanks to this site and people like Pood, giving advice and comfort to keep carrying on.

I am almost 8 months past shot and sometimes I think Ok I am better but then, it all comes back , My bones hurt , my blotches of eczema back, my indigestion out of control and my stomach has been killing , it never goes away

Jeanne~for your Mother to stop the muscle cramping everywhere except feet she needs a Magnesium supplement, 500mg/day. Be careful in buying it as certain ones cause diarrhea. If she gets the cramping in her feet, then 5-7 days of a pure salt tablet will take care of that. Because Prolia really messes with our immune system she probably has an infection in her bladder. It is one of the most common problems with Prolia. Hopefully, these will help her some. She can go to her PC Doc to see if she has a bladder infection and get an antibiotic for it. The culture should come back from the Lab pretty quickly. Right now she is not going through anything that most of us have not done and had. To her good health~

Dear Alexis or who ever you are.
This is about the 3rd or 4rd identical statement you have made on this web site. It's obvious to all of us sufferers that you probably are a company representative. So please stop making useless statements. Maybe you have noticed that all commercials have been pulled from TV. Must be a reason for this.

Hi it's exactly 3 months since my first injection & I feel fantastic, I get aches & pains but thankfully I no it's working, mind over matter, I don't let things get me down, just keep pushing myself to stay positive & motivated! Hope that helps, I will have again no problem!

You cant judge a product after 8 days. Impossible!. Did you read up up side effects before. Sometimes you just read and then think you have them Even an Asprin can have terrible side effect...but in most cases very rare. Just like Prolia.

For those that don't know and are unable to pull up or understand the scientific literature themselves: Prolia is nearly completely eliminated from the body within 6 months, indicating that it is a reversible therapy. If you are experiencing "side effects" that worsen over time, particularly beyond the 25-30 day half-life, it's very unlikely that Prolia is causing your symptoms. Not impossible, surely, but highly unlikely.

I am sorry for your suffering, but sorrier for the misinformation and hyperbole that is being spread here. You'd rather have a fracture than the drug? Really? Think about what you're saying there. People who fracture their hip often wind up in a nursing home, unable to do anything for themselves. The ones that don't die, anyway.

I agree that not everyone should immediately jump to taking drugs as soon as some test comes back slightly abnormal. But for those that truly are at a high risk for fracture, Prolia is a great drug. As with all drugs, risks and benefits must be weighed.

I have been reading everyones post for quit some time now. I honestly think a lot of you just like to complain. I had one shot, by a professional, I had some side effects, never had another shot and the side effects went away. I think most of you who are writing continuously would have had these symptoms weather you had the shot or not.

I love this medication. I take more than is needed and it works just fine I drink alcohol with it as well. It’s splendid.

It remains in the body 9 months then is completely clear. Unfortunate that you have these side effects , they are very very rare. If you look up the clinical trials for prolia it shows side effects to be very minimal. Compared to other options prolia is a fantastic option.
