New Generic 30 Mg Adderall Xr (all Orange W/ R 3061 On Them) Not As Effective (Page 10)

please share your experience with this never seen before, less effective drug that two different pharmacy's have given to me in last two months. they make me fall asleep!

Well it could. Generics can vary in strength up to 20% from the brand versions, weaker or stronger. So one manufacturer may have less active ingredient than the other.

Adderall was life changing for me in a positive way. Almost 2 years in to taking generic 25mg xr, my company’s insurance signed a contract with CVS and that became the only in-network option for any RX. Like most people, I thought all generic meds had to be made identical to the brand but after a year of feeling like it wasn’t only working but actually making me feel worse mentally, I could no longer convince myself that it was all in my head. I did a google search and found many complaints Similar the mine about the same generic brand (Amerigen pharma) that is the only generic cvs uses for adderall. The contract between my insurance and cvs ended this month and immediately got a new script to be filled at Walgreens (who uses Sandoz pharma) and NOT to my surprise, the ‘life changing effect’ was there again. I was horrified when I found out that Pharmaceutical company’s can alter any part of their generic brand and told the pharmacist at cvs the difference between theirs and the one Walgreens uses. He said the FDA has a form you can submit when experiencing an off feeling/less potent generic brand and report it to them. That is next on my to do list.

I’d like to know why something isn’t done regarding the ineffectiveness of these generics. Yes, all the generics are about the same poor quality. Can’t the FDA do something? I’m sure that if they read the comments here, if they were truly concerned about the quality & cost of these generics that they’d investigate the actual ingredients in these medications. It’s absolutely pointless to waste money on Adderall XR or IR. And, some of the druggist charge more than they should and they all swear that their generic is top quality and get angry if you ask the brand they carry. Not fair!
Has anyone ever tried Par Pharm? Garbage!!!

I have been on Adderall for years and ended up getting mydayis instead of Adderall and I am telling everyone I know that mydayis is so much better than Adderall... trust me

First time taking it this morning. I usually take 1 x 30mg adderall in the morning and 2 x 20mgs IR thru the day. But just got orange ones and they kicked hard and made me start sweating. But there not as good as the big ones that say RP On them though. I like them the best. But the break thru 20 mg it twice thru the day help out a lot.

All I reference to are 30mg XR.

Actavis: Imprint R-3061 Absolute junk

Elite Laboratories: Imprint ELI-515 Absolute junk

Global Pharmaceuticals: Imprint m amphet salts works the best that I have been able to get for the last couple of years.

Side effect from all 3 is chronic cough with chronic phlegm in my throat. Not sure what brand I had before but these new generics out there are terrible.

No that’s not exactly true. Sure the active ingredient is the same, but generics can vary up to 20% in strength from the name brand (not from each other) so one manufacturer could be 20% weaker than the original while one may be 20% stronger than the original, which would make a huge difference in effect between the two generics.

All I know is if they’re made by Aurobindo or Auro Brands they’re likely pretty fake. I had to stop going to Rite Aid because that’s all they order. I prefer Teva adderall and the only place here that consistently has them is Wallgreens.
