Re: Lilyblu (# 82) Expand Referenced Message

They are literally just about everywhere. Medicated Assistance Treatment is easily found now. You are going to have to Google Doctors in your area this is a great starting point. Also www.samhsa.gov. Doctors are easily found on this website and it has all needed information to call and make an appointment.

Re: Csp (# 75) Expand Referenced Message

I never had a Dr. Hebert and I no longer take Suboxone. I weaned myself off of Suboxone approximately a year and a half ago.

Re: Lily (# 71) Expand Referenced Message

Dr Chadha is extremely by the book, very very strict and to the point of extreme rudeness. However, I am still thankful for him as I used him as a Suboxone Doctor years ago and he truly helped me very much but he will make you cry. Trust me ... He tolerates zero bullcrap and will let you know that, too.

Re: Marty (# 87) Expand Referenced Message

Call your Medicaid plan. They should be able to tell you the doctors in your area that accept Medicaid for that treatment.

Re: North Louisiana (# 10) Expand Referenced Message

Hi, I apologize for posting as a reply but I couldn't find another way. I have asked and asked for the dr contact info for north LA Drs who take amerihealth and I've seen hundreds of posts asking for the same info. And all I've seen is either they send you to the Suboxone site which if you are looking for a sub Dr you really don't feel like f*****g around any more than you already have, or they won't tell you claiming chaos. Don't clog the site unless you're willing to actually answer with concrete info.

This website is definitely going to give you a list with phone numbers but you have to follow the instructions. Go to: www.samhsa.gov. This website has tons of helpful information and resources.

Call your Louisiana Medicaid Health Plan. They have a list of doctors. You can also go to your plans website. If you need medical treatment for your withdrawals before you can find/see a doctor go to the emergency room.

Re: Schana (# 94) Expand Referenced Message

There's several. The information I have is readily available online. Just go to samhsa.gov and click on the treatment locator or physician lookup, input your ZIP code and it will produce a list of Doctors who treat patients with Suboxone and if I'm not mistaken, almost everyone of them accept Medicaid. Let me know if you have issues finding the information. I'll check my email periodically to see if you have left me another comment or question. Good Luck. I have a list but it's just too many and too much information to type out and I'm not even sure where you're located in Louisiana. It'll be easier for you to search it because it'll give you more relevant results for your location.

Re: Mama G (# 96) Expand Referenced Message

I'm gonna post this here bc it's the first one I see from 2024 & maybe it'll be seen by more ppl bc goodness I know how it is.

I go through Florida parish mental health or it's called:

Slidell Behavioral Health Clinic
2331 Carey St, Slidell, LA 70458
Tel. (985) 646-6406.

I'm just gonna do bullet points bc I ramble & y'all don't need all that rn.

* Things may have changed so maybe call first but they told me just walk in. Very few ppl there so I've been seen quickly every time I've gone.

* Saw a male nurse then the Dr & in just a short time I left w a script for Suboxone. (First time)

* I've never had to attend any classes. They just wanted me to see a psychiatrist for a psych eval. Long visit but he set me up w zoom visits bc I have no transportation.

* Medicaid is accepted for all visits/appts plus meds. Now I have Louisiana Healthcare connections but when I looked at their website for the first time, just now, it didn't list mine, not sure what's up w that.

I can't think of anything else to add except they actually seem like they wanna help you get off drugs unlike Acer who's all about the money then when you "graduate" whatever tf that means they just send you to a place just like theirs, daughters of charity to rinse and repeat. Good luck y'all!!!
