Narcotic Friendly Docs In Ma
UpdatedMy primary won't prescribe any narcotics, so I'm looking for a new primary. I am going to Bay State pain mng, but they won't do anything at all until I jump through all their hoops.I have been waiting for 4 months now to get facet injections, and IF i ever get one, I have to wait 3 months in between each one which has been awful. I have 2 ruptured discs, and a third completely gone. It's sitting on my left sciatic nerve. I have been waiting and waiting and waiting, and tried to be proactive, but i'm getting nowhere.
I can't take this anymore. I actually NEED some medication, and the pill chasers are screwing people like me over and the doctors are turning a blind eye to what they are doing to people like us. I live near Springfield MA, but I'm willing to drive some for a doctor who will help me. HELP???

Hello, Brandon! How are you? I am so sorry that you're in so much pain.
However, your PCP has no choice in the matter. Due to the regulations that were put in place last year, they are no longer allowed to prescribe such medications. If you require them on a long-term ongoing basis, then pain management is your only option.
And pain management is going to expect you 'jump through the hoops' to see what else may work for you, before resorting to narcotics.
Can anyone suggest a speedier place in that area?
