Metoprolol Er Succinate 25mg

Updated

I was prescribed this medicine back in december. I have been taking it faithfully. I am a 46 yr old woman with no prior heart problems. I was placed on this medication for hypertension. I take 1 pill daily at night only. I have alot of the common side effects ie: fatigue, diaharrea, chills, night sweats, yellowing eyes, hair loss and mental and mood changes. But, I now have an added problem, menopause... I am wondering what if anything I can take that won't cause more problems than I already have? Herbal ?

Yellowing eyes I would think you might want to consult your prescribing physician. It could be jaundice.

Sounds like to me your hyperthyroid. I think you need to have a blood test so see if so. Google the side effects they ate very similar. I am hyperthyroid and I have those same symptoms

Hi Jaclyn,

Although I'm not a doctor, I would probably suggest leaning towards a more natural approach if you don't want to worry about having quite as many side effects.

Have you considered looking into Essential Oils for menopause symptoms? One that comes to mind is Clary Sage. If you run a google search for "clary sage menopause" I think you'll find some helpful information on how to use it properly and effectively. I also happen to know a few people who have taken it for such purposes with no complaints :)

I hope this helps!
