I am wondering about the subs. So that being said, here is my story and i want any advice or facts you can give on my situation, with a very big PLEASE at the end. Please try to follow this, its confusing in parts but in the end, i am addicted to opiates....plain truth with a little explination. i take methadone 10 mg ,for pain but have noticed a difference between the round and oblong ones the round ones make me very tired ,ne1 no wat pharmacies carry the oblong ones? ## There can be difference in generic drugs, they are allowed to differ in the active ingredient, by as much as plus or minus 20%, because the FDA considers this an acceptable therapeutic window. If they are making you tired, then that probably means you are experiencing more side effects, so they are a little stronger than what you are used to taking. I am looking for help with a perscription addiction. I have head that methadone has help many people get off perscription pill. However, if you were going to an addiction clinic, even if it was for pain treatment, then that is what is in your medical records and a regular doctor can't prescribe Methadone for you. Once you're listed as being under addiction treatment, you can only get it from those that are specially trained in its use and under current laws, a private physician can't prescribe it for addiction treatment. I used h for about a month straight after being clean for 5 months.... I'm on methadone clinic and got tested on a Thursday after using that Monday morning at around 10am test on Thursday was at about 11:30 .... I drank three cups of coffee and three bottles of water before and peed about 4 times after I started drinking and took three multivitamins and 5 tums, just bc I was worried I would dilute my sample but my per was ALMOST crystal clear with a tiny hint of yellow to it and in worried opiates are going to show up but watered down, and after not using for 72 hours in PRAYING I diluted just enough to not test positive :-( someone give me some input/opinions!! If you're looking for addiction treatment with Methadone, you will have to go to a treatment clinic. Under the current U.S. laws, private doctors cannot prescribe it for addiction treatment, that can only be done in a clinical setting by those that are specially trained in its use for such. Trying to find doctors near Devon and Western in N Chicago that can prescribe methadone for pain treatment. ## Any doctor can prescribe it for pain, however, you may run into problems if you're calling new doctors and asking if they'll prescribe it, since most doctors will consider that to be drug seeking behavior. I have been on methadone (pill form) for several years now, and need some help. ## oops forgot the rest! as I said I have been on methadone for several years now 60 mg per day. I have full blown cronic hep c stage one fibrosis, osterperosis, fibromayalga severe back trouble and who knows what else at this time! I started out on oxycodone 40mg three times a day and had to switch to methadone due to cost of meds. I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. A very large pharmaceutical distributor was recently shut down on the east coast, so many pharmacies are on back order for controlled substances. Have you talked to your doctor and your pharmacist? In the end I believe it really just comes down to the discretion of the physician or psychiatrist who prescribes/recommends the clonazepam. From my experience, a psychiatrist can write up a report after an in-person evaluation, to help determine your son's true needs for this medication. If you are looking to use it to break your addiction, then you will have to go to a Methadone clinic, a private physician isn't allowed to prescribe it for that under the current laws. I am wanting to go to India for 3 week. I am currently taking methadone , been dependent on Mathadone for 3 year now. Will I be able to take my medication with me to India? ## Hi Leon, Based on my research, prescription drugs are said to be exempt from the standard TSA (airport security) rules. However it's possible that the rules may be somewhat different when traveling abroad. As long as you declare them at the security checkpoint, you should be fine. I'm sure the TSA has to make exceptions all the time for various medical necessities; but I would just recommend visiting the TSA website for more details on what they do and do not allow, if you need more specific details on the matter. I been taking methadone 10 XML three times a day. Why is it not showing up in a urine test? My doctor is taking me off if the next test is the same. I already had two negative test.why. is this happening? ## It is possible that they are just running a standard 5 panel screen. Methadone does not test positive as an opiate. They have to run an extended screen which test for methadone. I would think your doctor would know this but I would verify.

Even if that's not why you were going to the clinic, that is what it will be listed as in your medical records, so no doctor can prescribe it for you. Doctors that aren't trained to use it for addiction treatment can only prescribe it for pain. Have you tried to see if there are other clinics in your area that accept Medicare?

Hello, I'm a 24 year old female and was put on methadone years ago by a money hungry so called doctor. I have a legit MRI, reason, all that. I don't care about being drug tested I just need a doctor that cares enough to help me safely get off this evil drug. I'm trying to get help but I'm just getting the run around and I'm almost to tears. Can u help? ## Well, if you're searching under Methadone/Methadone treatment, that's all you're going to find. There is no listing of doctors that treat pain with any given medication. For pain, Methadone can be prescribed by any physician that has their license and can prescribe medications, however, if they advertised it, imagine the type of people they'd have beating down their office door. :-) The biggest issue that I think you're going to run into is many doctors not wanting to prescribe it, though they may be perfectly willing to prescribe other opiates.
