There are a few walkin clinics on Harry Hines around royal lane. I used to frequent these clinics to get Xanax and loratabs. Look for any run down walkin clinics that have a doctor who is not white or from this country. Indian names and Mexican names r good starts to getting what you r looking for. These kind of doctor can generally be told what to prescribe from my experience don't dance around what u want. These scum bag doctors don't care about your well being but care very much about the money in your pocket. If you find yourself having trouble getting what u want ask him if he charges more to write Xanax or pain pills to let him know what u want. These foreign docs are basically drug dealers with dea numbers. Give them incentive to work for u. Don't play games your a customer not a patient. People r probly going to disagree with this approach but I had 15years experience getting scripts I wanted before I got clean. Never had an MRI or any sort of medical records.

Hi ToddG,

I may not have a doctor I can refer you to, but I can provide you with a couple links that may be of service to you in locating pain management doctors within your general area.

All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results:
{link removed because site no longer exists}

You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another:
wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist

Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that specific doctor; I'd consider calling up a number of them to see if they are accepting new patients; some aren't, but most usually are.

Unfortunately, no one can really know ahead of time what a doctor is or is not willing to prescribe, as that is based on the doctor's discretion and not on someone else's previous appointment (especially since many doctor's are now worried about losing their licensing for prescribing too many narcotics).

Some advice I can give you is to not specifically ask for any 'specific medication' when you see a new doctor. Just make sure to transfer or take a copy of all your medical records with you. Then, the best approach in my opinion, is to discuss up front and honestly what has or hasn't worked for you in the past. Most doctors will take it under consideration and hear you out if you approach them in this manner. I believe a lot of patients don't get the pain medication they need because they are approaching the doctor in such a needy way that they are being viewed as addicts or junkies and not patients. So as awkward as that may seem, it is something to consider and be made aware of.

I hope this info helps. Good luck on your search!

G,

Could you recommend a clinic? I am new to the area and I would prefer not to go to multiple clinics. Also, do these clinics prescribe adderall?

Hi , im new to the area as well , it's crazy how most drs these days assume everyone is just seeking ! But the sad part is , not EVERYONE is ! I have fibromyalgia and live in pain every day ! I don't even remember the last time I felt normal ! Every day is a struggle. And I'm sure if it was their wife , sister or mother it would be a different story ! I don't have insurance, so I can't efford to just assume the the next dr I see will actually have compassion ! I'm just sick of living in pain ! Could u please give me maybe a specific name or a phone number ?
